Does anyone know what is the best treatment for large pores? I use Retin A Micro at night, but even if it cleans the pores, they are still so big. Can anyone recommend a different product or a laser treatment they've done that would work to shrink the pores?

Hi - I have some deep deep pores that dirt and makeup are often being trapped; thus, look a bit dark. Will juvederm help to "lift up" those pores??

Hi, the only advise I can offer from very expensive means of buying lots of different products is to try not to use a moisturiser that it too oily as these can cause spots and make the pores bigger. Avon do a product that is very good called pore perfect it is in a green container they do a toner and a moisturiser and also do a pore refining mask. Although may cause skin to dry if you are prone to dry skin. I have found also that loreal do a "milk-to-toner" 2 in 1 make up remover, although you can still use it even if you are not removing makeup , you wet your hands and then put some of the cleaner in your hand you then rub into your skin until it goes clear this is the toner working, which helps to close the pores once the cleaner has cleaned them, you then rinse off or wipe off with cotton wool. It has a lovely creamy texture and does noticeable reduce pores. Toners are the best thing to reduce pores once cleansed. Good luck. Amanda.

Large pores are usually found in the T-Zone area because large pores are usually a result of sebaceous glands that are full and heavy with oil. This then causes a pulling effect on the surface of the skin which pulls the pore open. Using topical products only provides a temporary effect by "sopping up" the oil, so to speak. Retin A is not a treatment designed for minimizing pore size because it is used to treat fine lines/wrinkles. Retin A could also cause skin irritation rather than accomplishing anything with the pore size. The only known modality that we are aware of is using laser/thermal technology that reduces the size of the sebaceous gland so that it cannot over-produce oil. Reshaping and restructuring the glands gets to the source of the problem. It usually requires several treatments to accomplish this. We currently use the Aramis Quantel with good, consistent outcomes.

Intradermal Botox (Botox injections in the skin) is a very safe and effective way to reduce the size of pores.
