yikes..I dont think you can use Radiesse under eyes..
It is way to dense and should be used from nose to lip lines..
I find human collagen has worked best for me..
You cant put heavy stuff under your eyes or it will drag you down.. I love radiesse in the right places..not in lips either..I like restalyn for the lips....

Hi
They put Radiesse under your eyes..?
In my opinion that was wrong.. I advise you to push the lumps..everyday.. massage them.. it will go down..but Radiesse and Drs out there can advise but is too heavy for under eyes..
at least that what my husband says..he is a board certified plastic surgeon..
Get a consult from another dr.. perhaps they can fill in
with a very light human collagen.. was your dr.. board certified.. I am surprised.. that they put Radiesse there..
Keep massaging.. it will go down.. press hard..
and I do think a dr can help you.. one that really injects
alot of product.. keep us posted..
I do love Radiesse just not for the eyes..

Thank you again for your respond.
I am massaging it every day but I don't know how long I should do that, is not helping it...is there anything else I can do to help it?

I would go to another Dr..
One who knows alot about Radiesse...where do you live..?
There is a solution they can inject to help reduce it..
I want you to call and find out who in your area or if I know where you live
I can ask for a referral.. try and just push on it instead of massage..
push rather hard.. the dr should not put radiesse under eyes according
to my experts.. although radiesse is great for other uses around your nose..

My doctor put Radiesse under my eyes and now I can see and feel hard lumps. Also there are lumps on my labionasal folds. The injections were very, very painful, and I had bruising for 3 weeks after.

I would not advise anybody to have Radiesse. I just hope these lumps will dissolve and disappear asap.

Hi again,
Tell you the truth, I work in a surgery center and one of our board certified plastic sergeant did that to me, what I can say....now I am stuck with it.
What solution do you know that it helps to dissolve it faster?
I thought there is only solution for juvederm or restylane to make it dissolve faster and yes I am going to push on it to see if it works.

I get that.. there are lots of really good surgeons injecting..and
they dont do the proper training because they are so talented with other areas..that doesnt make you feel better.
The nabial folds will go away.. they respond best to the pushing.
the thing is for the surgeon to inject very little.. because it grows..
Radiesse under the eyes.. no.. a no no..
I advise you to call the company.. ask them the best thing to do..
as I do think there is a solution that helps dissolve the Radiesse.. too..
I would call a derm..and find one that specializes in Radiesse..
and get some help so this doesnt upset you any longer..
It will go down though.. all of this stuff does leave.. I know that doesnt make you feel any better but it could end up looking great.. but it is too heavy for under eyes..

nbtt
nbtt

Dont be afraid to ask the Dr who did this to you..to help you contact the
company for solutions.. Drs deep down know when they dont do something
as well as they should have.. and I am sure he or she will want to help you..

I am happy to help..
Please tell us when you talk to the company..
They will know how to handle this.. I think the drs have to know not to put this in your lips or eyes.. unless a couple drops in lips.. Check back..Thanks TT

I too had radiesse put under my eye and its like a red welp-its been there for four months now-Ive tlaked to 2 very highly recommended plastic surgeons-they strongly advise me against injected steroids to get rid of it.The doctor who orginally did it is a doctor-but not a plastic surgeon-only internal maedcicne-but he has this day spa too in Visalia,CA.Big mistake to goto him

It will finally go away.. be patient..
but I would only go to a surgeon trained to inject..
and trained in dermatology and or plastic surgery.. and board certified is a huge plus... be so careful of the day spas..
especially if you never see the figure head dr..

I asked my husband.. he is a board certified plastic surgeon about your dillema..
He doesnt agree to ever put Radiesse under your eyes..but he said not to despair.. be patient and it will go down and go away and might end up looking good but it will be a while..
hang in there..

Do you see visible white lumps..

Yes I do see white lumps and yes is visible.

Sima..
All I can say is to massage the area.. lightly..everyday..
and it will go away.. it will take some time..
You have to be patient.. You do have to talk to the Dr who injected you.. show him and tell him that Radiesse should not be used under the eyes..
My husband says..it will go away.. but will take some time..and to be patient..it might actually look good after it settles down.. Where do you live.. I can help you find a dr..
If you go on the Allergan web site..they have drs that do the juvederm and botox.. they dont own Radiesse..but have good drs who are allergan certified who inject... call around and see how much experience they have with all the products..

It's concerning that a practitioner would use this product under the eyes for what I'm assuming was a "tear trough" procedure. Tear trough treatments should always be done with a Hyaluronic Acid filler (ex: Restylane). I certainly would not recommend persistent massaging this long after the treatment because you may be dealing with granulomas that will not be responsive. Constant massaging will only traumatize the fragile skin in this area and may lead to more irritation and swelling. This is an example of how consumers need to be very aware of who is performing the procedure. As we see by so many postings, being a physician does not equate to the right knowledge and technique. Rather than the title behind one's name, consumers should be proactive in knowing the experience behind their name.
BTW, you may want to notify the manufacturer of the product so that they may properly train the practitioner and offer you good feedback on what to do at this point. Good luck.

I had Radiesse about 4 months ago around the nose and mouth, and they also put a bit under my eyes as well. Ever since I have had this horrible reddish bruised-looking area under my eyes that just won't go away; the dermatologist has tried twice to laser it but it hasn't made a bit of difference. The volume looks good, but the discoloration is awful!!! I really wish now I had not done it under the eyes; no one seems to be able to tell me what will get rid of the discoloration. Any help appreciated!!! Deborah

Hi Deborah,
We haven't come across this in our practice, but I do have a patient that experienced something similar from another facility. First and foremost, Radiesse should not be injected into the tear trough area. Prolonged pigmentation most likely is related to what we refer to as "post inflammatory hyperpigmentation" which is a result of trauma as it pertains to significant bruising, swelling etc. Our bodies sometimes makes pigmentation as a result of this trauma. Using gentle lasers to this area may be a good option - wich lasers did he/she use and what was the reason he/she gave you? Did the practitioner try a topical remedy as well? Without knowing the above information, it is difficult to provide the appropriate feedback.

I totally agree with Lori.

We always use Restylane under the eyes. It's a simple procedure (if the physician knows how to do it) and the results are great!

I do know of people that have used Radiesse with good results. However, the risks far outweigh any potential benefits. It's just NOT worth it!

I too have a lump under my right eye after having Radiesse injections to my cheeks. I has been four months and I have massaged it but massage only irritates my skin and produces swelling. I have red welps under my eyes that look like bags. I am afraid of having surgery? My doctor called the rep and they both said that this bump will go away? Never again with Radiesse!

I recently had Radiesse injected near my nose/ mouth. I had some extra in the syringe and my DOCTOR and I decided to use it under my eyes...closer to my cheeks than my eyes really. The area only requires a teeny tiny amount of the filler. I am thrilled with the results. I'm sorry to hear that so many others have not had positive experiences.

I had Juvederm injected under my eyes by a board certified plastic surgeon. I had a great amount of immediate bruising which has finlly settled out after 16 days, but I have swelling that just doesn't seem to be getting any better despite massaging and icing. My doc says that I may be having a reaction to the product or perhaps the molecule was too large that she injected and thereby causing the swelling. She also says patience and time, but I'm wondering if Juvederm also "grows" as does Radiesse? Perhaps she injected too much product and that has produced the swelling. Does anyone have any experience with this problem? Thank you!
