I have a question about Captique vs. Restylane. I'm interested in using this for the marionette lines and for the smile lines on my cheeks to the right/left of my mouth and for one acne scar I have.
I know they are basically similar products but I'm curious if:
1) one typically lasts longer than the other
2) If one is better than the other for the above treatments and
3) if one product is more superior (chemically, visually, longevity, etc.) than the other.
Please advise!

I've used Restylane for the lines around my lips and also for a hollow in my cheekbone. I also have layered that with Sculptra - and I would say that the hollow is pretty much gone now. I don't know nor have tried Captique, but I would recommend Restylane and now I will also try Juvaderm for those stubborn hollows & lines.

I've had Radisse injection in naso-labial folds followed by Restylane injections more superficially, in November. It is just end of January, and everything (ridges of material) is gone. It was done by a very reputable specializing physician. Nobody ever noticed any effect unless I inquired about it. Have anybody had true noticeable effect?

I think you need to be careful that you can decide what's best for your facial lines and wrinkles. that's for a dermatologist/doctor who knows alot about the different options and alternatives and can prescribe the best thing for you. Getting a wrinkle "fillers" is NOT like buying a car or a computer which is smart to ask strangers what they think about a product one way or the other.
don't take my word. this advice is same as given by a major surgeon in cleveland:
"While I'm glad that people try to educate themselves before they come in, it's not a good thing when someone says, 'I'm here for Sculptra' or 'I want Restylane,' " says Dr. David Stepnick, director of the division of facial plastic surgery at Cleveland's University Hospitals Case Medical Center. "People don't necessarily know what the appropriate treatment is for what they want to change. One filler might work better for the kinds of lines they have while another wouldn't."

I have used Juvederm for laugh lines, and it is much smoother then Restylane, which can get bumpy. The marionette lines are SO much more resistant, for me, and I have tried almost all fillers. They only last 2 months in my case. I just went to a new Plastic Surgeon, and he used Sculptra. You have to wait awhile for results, as it makes your body produce collagen at the sites of injection. It may require a second injection, but it lasts for 2 years. I'll let you know in 6 weeks!!! Good Luck-Lori

I'm interested in getting a filler for the upper lip lines, I only have two, but hate them just the same. I'm wondering if the price is the same for two lines as it would be for more? Also how long does it take for the swelling to go in that area?

I just got my first Restylane injection today into the marionette lines. A plastic surgeon did it. I have a visible lump on one side of my face. It is a little bigger than a pea Icalled the Dr's office and was told to massage it a little daily and it would go away. Has anyone else had this happen? I'm getting worried.

I had juvederm injections in March in naso-labial folds and marionette lines by a reputable plastic surgeon, big difference, still looks good, but will need to have it redone possibly in Sept?

I have actually found that Radiesse works really well to address the issues that you have mentioned. I can generally get a more complete correction with fewer syringes, and the product has been shown to last for a year. So, in addition to working well, it seems to be a cost effective choice for our clients.
I would ask your physician or aesthetic professional about Radiesse as an option.

No question, use Restylane over Captique. My preference these days for marionette lines is Evolence and Radiesse.
