Juliet is an ablative laser treatment to tighten and tone the vaginal tissue.

It’s a two-step process that begins by first creating controlled microinjuries deep in the skin, which stimulates the body’s natural wound-repair process. That’s followed by a thermal injury (aka heat). Together, these step trigger new collagen production in the deeper layers of the skin, which can help improve the texture and tone of vaginal and vulvar tissue.

Juliet laser treatment benefits go beyond aesthetics. It can purportedly address vaginal dryness, lax vaginal tissue, urinary incontinence, and painful intercourse, particularly after childbirth.

It can also serve as a hormone-free treatment for menopause symptoms, including dryness and discomfort.

The 10-minute treatment is gentle and painless—so much so that an anesthetic isn’t usually required. During the procedure, you’re in a position similar to that of a gynecological exam, while a sterile, single-use wand, which encases the laser, is inserted into the vagina. It rotates briefly—and that’s it.

Side effects are similarly minimal. While you may experience some discomfort after treatment, it can be easily addressed with over-the-counter pain medication.

It's possible to feel the effects within the first week, but patients often report the best results in three to four weeks after the Juliet treatment—which, it’s worth noting, is not FDA-cleared at this time.

To get the maximum benefit, you may need two to three sessions in total, with about four to six weeks between each. This gives your body time to produce new collagen. The results of Juliet laser treatments can last up to a year.
