Pros:
- Never have to put on eyeliner, ever!
- No smudging.
- No irregular lines.
- You can get a natural look, dramatic or something in-between depending on your taste.

Cons:
- Can be a bit painful depending on method and pain tolerance.
- Cost can be prohibitive depending where you go.
- It is permanent.

Why I did it:
I'm lazy. ;o) Actually, my eyes water a lot and I have some allergies so by the end of the day my eyeliner is smudging down my face; not attractive. I've tried waterproof eyeliner and it works okay but if you get it on wrong, you have to take off all the makeup near your eye to fix it.

With permanent makeup, get a good, licensed, trained practitioner. Ask to see before and after photos of other people, get references if you want. They should be very open and not pushy - in fact, really good artist will be conservative in their recommendations and want to do spot testing to see if you have any allergies.

Depending on the type of method they use, it can be easy but take a good hour, or be quick and a lot more painful - remember, needles are being used. It can hurt while it's being done but the pain goes away as soon as they pull the needle away.
