I had several procedures during one surgery session. Upper eye-lids, a NEW Nose (but I still see the same Nose) and the upper lip with Juvederm.
Lets just say that everything did not go as I had expected with all three procedures.
As for the Juvederm in my upper lip - It is almost 3+ weeks and I still look like a DUCK. That's right my upper lip is sticking out like a duck. For the first three days immediately after the surgery the inside of my upper lip was totally black - bruised so badly that I could not eat any solid food. Nor have I been able to eat across the table from someone. I am still self conscious that there may be "food" on my lip-face area.
One side of my upper lip is larger that the other side and I can feellumps of the stuff in my upper lip. The bruising has finally gone away. But I too have asked the Dr. for the injection to get rid of the Juvederm. I am also requesting that he REFUND me the total cost of this procedure ($742.00) just for the upper lip. Which I am now finding out is much more expensive than what I have been researching on the internet.

I had Juvederm Ultra Plus injected into my lips, along my nasolobial folds and in the "coin slot" frown line between my eyes 4 days ago. I also had Botox along the lines of my forehead, between my eyes and on the sides of my eyes. I can't believe how much my upper lip looks like a duck's...just like you said! I have one side of my upper lip fuller than the other side. I also have bruising where the lip injections were and a dark purple 1/2 inch streak going from the side of my mouth down to under my chin. I'M GUESSING THE BRUISING WILL GO AWAY EVENTUALLY BUT PLEASE TELL ME YOU WERE ABLE TO FIND SOMETHING TO MAKE YOUR LIP GO DOWN!!! CAN THEY EVEN THEM OUT? DID YOU GET ANY REIMBURSEMENT?
Since I also live in New Jersey, (Readington between Somerville and Flemington), I was wondering if you would tell me where and who you went to. I don't want to go to the same place I went to if these lips don't look better soon. But on the plus side, the Botox injections didn't bruise and my forehead and "coin slot" frown look really good. Also, I really had no pain because the doctor I went to, Dr. Schulhafer at Capri Medical Spa in Hillsborough, used a dental block on me for the lips by first inserting 4 topical anesthetic-soaked swabs into the upper and lower corners of my mouth and then injecting more anesthetic into the numbed corners. There was some pain at the injection sites of my lips after the anesthesia wore off. I paid $600 for the first syringe and $500 for the second. And I paid $12 per unit for the Botox. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Would love to hear an update on how your lips look now. How long did it last? I am sitting here quacking as I type (5 days past injecting Juv.).
