I had the life style lift done May 07 in Waltham, MA by Doctor {edited}. I am over 60 and had sagging in the lower face and neck that bothered me when I looked in the mirror. After reading all the negative reviews, I have to say that my experience was pretty positive and I would do it again. They do give a few needles to numb your face but it was comparable to the needles the dentist gives for a filling. The medication they give you to calm you down worked for me, and I had no trouble staying still during the surgery and felt no pain. I went back to work after a week but could have gone back sooner. I took the pain killers for the first two days and switched to Advil and was pretty comfortable. The front of my ears look fine - scars are not visable, there are a few scars behind my ears but not too bad. People might see the scars in back of the ears if they stick out, but in that case most women would cover the ears with hair. There is a recovery period, but nothing that I found unbearable, and the results were worth it, as I feel better about the way I look now. It is not a dramatic change, but it accomplished what I hoped it would. Just remember it is surgery and it takes a couple of months to heal completely. I let my hair grow so that it would cover it and people did not even notice the swelling. You have to have reasonable expectations, if you are older you can look better but you are not going to look like a 30 year old

Can I get the name of your Dr. in Waltham? I'm thinking about a Lifestyle lift and would only go to a doctor with good results.
Thanks,

Glad to hear someone who had the lift done in Waltham had a good experience. I am having it done next Saturday by Dr. Alex. I have not met him yet but hear he is very good at what he does. Some of these stories are horrible, but I do not have the same expectations as some people. I realize that it will be painful and that it will take long to completly heal. I just hope I can go back to work in one week. Thanks for your post.
