I had zoom done 6 hours ago, I had read a lot of reviews on this website and honestly, I was scared to do it, but my dental office had a summer special and I decided to do it. My teeth where not too bad, they were white with some shades of yellow on the edges and side teeth, but it was bothering me. I arrived and they made a lot of preparation on my mouth, it took them a while and it was somewhat uncomfortable. then the first 15 minute session began, in the whole time i felt 1 zing on my uper left side, then i started feeling a lot of pressure in my gums, then I felt a bit of a burning sensation on a small part of my gums. After the machine went off the nurse came asked how I was doing applied some lip balm and continued the second session, this time i felt some more zings throughout my mouth and the pressure felt more intense, then the nurse came, and started the third session, which was the worst one, I counted 18 zings all in my lower teeth for some reason, I was looking forward for the process to finish.
I saw in the mirror and my teeth where white, very nice, I did though have some inconvenience, like the burning sensation I had felt it was actually the gel in contact whith my gums that turned white over my front teeth, this white "stain" in my gums went away already, I think like an hour after.
I am still having some zings some of them pretty strong, but believe me: nothing compared to childbirth or terrible pain.
Overall I think the pain is bearable if you care a lot about having white teeth, but I would not pay full price for this, It is just not worth to pay more than $200.
Also, under normal conditions, my teeth are not sensitive. So this may be why I am not suffering a lot.
I would advice people with very sensitive teeth to seek for alternative solutions for whitening, but if you are pretty healthy and can bear a little bit of pain, (compare it with a migrane) in exchange of a bright white clean smile.
