I recently observed juvederm being administered to treat sunken eyes. What product works best and what technique , quantity would you use for arcus marginalis and nasojugal fold? what technique is best?
Answer: Dark circles under the eyes? Juvederm injectable filler.
Dark circles under the eyes can be due to a number of causes. Typically, when associated with aging, there is hollow area, the tear trough, that develops a shadowing effect and appears like a dark line. This hollowed area can be filled with Juvederm or Restylane injectable fillers. This should be done by an experienced injector. Too superficial of an injection will lead to a bluish hue under the skin.
Dark circles may also be caused by thin skin with underlying blood vessels, blood staining of the skin, or allergies. This cannot be helped with filler injections.

CONTACT NOW Answer: Dark Circles/Eye Bags/Wrinkles -- Fillers (Belotero, Juvederm Volbella); Lasers (Fraxel/CO2); Renuvion; Microneedling/PRP; Peels There are many things you can do to treat under eye bags, but a combination approach with nonsurgical treatments would give the most improvement: fillers (Belotero, Juvederm Volbella), lasers (Fraxel/CO2), Renuvion (J-Plasma), microneedling/PRP, Cosmelan peels and stem cells. A surgical option to remove skin and/or fat might be the best solution long-term. I suggest getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist to see what is best for you and your goals. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Improving dark circles with hyaluronic acid fillers
Fillers like juvederm and restylane can be used to correct a prominent nasojugal groove or tear trough region around the eyes. Care must be taken with these injectables as they can sometimes appear lumpy and make the eyelid area have a prolonged puffy appearance. While I routinely use both fillers, I think the restylane does a little better in that area with less "blue" color effect under the skin there. I hoe this information helps.

Answer: Juvederm for lower eyelid area
Juvederm works well as a filler for the lower eyelid area in certain patients. Those who have a pronounced "teartrough deformity" or hollow area under the eyelids can be treated effectively with one to two cc's of Juvederm. The injection typically has minimal to no bruising and is performed with local anesthesia and topical (cream) anesthesia. The effects are seem immediately and last for 6-12 months. Restylane can also be used in this area with good results.
Please consult with a board certified plastic surgeon or dermatologist who is experienced in this type of injection.
Best wishes,
Dr. Bruno

Answer: Los Angeles Juvederm for Dark Circles Hi Belroche, Juvederm and Restylane are both great choices for getting rid of dark circles. Usually, this procedure does not require more than a .4 cc syringe, but in some patients it can be as much as 1 cc. The product is placed "under the muscle" with this technique so that no lumpiness occurs.
