I came to Dr. Barrett’s office for a consult last year and I just have to say that every single person in this office is incredibly kind and caring. My first contact was Jenny who was sweet annd sincere and she is the person who really made me feel brave enough to do the in person consultation because, you know, it is a little intimidating. Upon arrival I got to meet Kim who answered all my questions before meeting Dr. Barrett and became my point of contact moving forward. Meeting Dr. Barrett felt comfortable as he was very content to answer all my questions including questions about Breast Implant Illness, nipple sensation loss after breast augmentation, and capsular contracture. He was very transparent and gave me all the info I needed to make an informed decision with no pressure. You can tell Dr. Barrett is so smart and analytical. He has very logical reasons that back up his unique style. I really felt he was the perfect doctor for me as I wanted someone who would hold my hand a little after surgery and not just cut me open and send me home. I really felt he embodied the morals and character I was looking for in a surgeon. He has a very high standard for aesthetics, an extensive recovery protocol, and he’s a dad which for me was probably the best part. After thinking about it for a few months I booked my mommy makeover with breast augmentation. I’m now two weeks out in my mommy makeover recovery and I’m incredibly happy with my results. By breasts already look good and well proportioned to my body and I know as they settle they will look even softer and more natural. My tummy tuck scar is hip to hip, as discussed, and just barely above my pubic line. My belly button is beautiful. After having two kids I had stretch marks all over including surrounding my belly button and my belly button itself was droopy and sad looking. But I can’t believe that two weeks post op I have not one stretch mark on my stomach. I’m shocked because I had so many I was prepared to have some left over but no. Not one. And my belly button is so cute and it looks like my belly buttons before pregnancy! It’s crazy! An example of how Dr. Barrett is a cut above is in the personnel he and his wife Rosalyn staff the office with. Every single person you meet will treat you well and it just feels right and good and I know if you choose Dr. Barrett you will feel as cared for as I did!
Yikes! I almost went Mexico to save a buck! Almost did the procedure in Costa Rica, and again in Oregon! I decided to book a virtual consultation thinking I would never make it to Beverly Hills. However I needed Dr. Barrett’s professional, ethical, cutting edge approach and opinion. I came across his YouTube channel and watched for 3 years comparing every surgeon to him. I marveled at all the intricate videos and interviews. His integrity is unparalleled, his capabilities unrivaled, his knowledge far surpassed any other plastic surgeon I had met either in person or online. I had a few consultations with other surgeons who were not compatible or had antiquated techniques. My objective was to use his expertise to find a comparable surgeon in my state. Long story short, I searched to no avail. I knew in my heart of hearts and in my flabby gut it just had to be him. They say behind every great man is a great woman, I can assure you this dinamite duo does not disappoint. Yes! Dr. Barrett’s electric, compassionate, smoke show wife Rosalyn Barrett facilitates, well, everything! She intently assisted me from the beginning till our last tearful post opp goodbye! The team they are surrounded with are a reflection of their commitment to excellence. Every single person was attentive, supportive, and kind. The day had finally arrived, I was elated when Dr. Barrett began his mark ups on me. Drawing little lines and configuring details. I said “ I can just see the wheels spinning in your head” to which he replied “ I live for this.” We even made an impromptu decision to add a procedure! I knew I was in the best most capable hands.I entered an immaculate facility with fun, prepared, professionals who had me out in no time. When I awoke I was beaming with delight as my belly was gone and I had an adorable new belly button! The transition to my transportation was seamless and discreet. The next 5 days I recovered until my post opp visit a few miles away. I was diligent with thorough instructions and a medical team just a phone call away. I will say those few days were rough! As much as one can prepare and advise, the nerves reattaching was excruciating but the drains were easily navigated. Upon my post opp Dr. Barrett and his team were hands on examining, reiterating, and I left his gorgeous office feeling supported and thrilled! I love Dr. Barrett’s quote “there are two things you should never bargain shop for… the first is parachutes and the second is Plastic Surgery “ The saying “When in Rome” also comes to mind… if you want phenomenal pasta, go to Italy, if you want phenomenal plastic surgery go to Beverly Hills, go to Dr. Daniel Barrett ! I cannot thank or refer them enough!
I recently had a breast lift and augmentation with Dr.Barrett. I am so happy with my results. I am currently two weeks post op. I did a lot of research before ultimately choosing Dr Barrett. I love his more holistic approach, I chose to have my lift here specially because Dr.Barrett can achieve a beautiful lift using a lollipop lift rather than an anchor lift. I am so pleased with my results. I know my results are just going to continue to keep getting better over time. Even now two weeks out my breasts look great and my incisions are healing nicely and my scars are very thin. The entire team has been so friendly, from my post op check ups to sending me flowers at home. Dr. Barrett even called me the evening of my surgery at home to make sure I was doing well. I would definitely recommend Dr.Barrett to family and friends or anyone looking to have something done.
Dr Barrett and his entire team are Amazing ! From the first time I walked in for a consultation I felt nothing but comfortable. I’ve been searching for the perfect Doctor for my breast augmentation and I can honestly say he has over achieved in my expectations ! I wanted natural results and he talked me through what would work with my body frame and my goals . I went with 320 Ccs moderate profile plus and it is the best decision I could’ve made for myself ! I would recommend anyone who is looking for amazing work to pay him a visit as it’s the best thing I could’ve done
Dr. Barrett and his team are truly wonderful. I traveled from Wisconsin to see him and my overall experience with him and his team, which includes consultation, surgery and my first and second post-op appointments, has been very pleasant. I am only 2 weeks out of surgery and recovery has been extremely easy. I highly recommend Dr. Barrett if you want to get something done as well as his recovery kit products. It was truly an honor to meet him and his team. They are the truly the best! Much love and support :) -Chapin
Doctor Barrett was very kind and understanding. Knowledgable and put a lot of thought into what size would work best with my body. I had some anxiety while waiting for my procedure but Dr. Barrett helped quell that anxiety and gave me a big hug which was so sweet! I have a chest wall deformity, next to no breast tissue, they’re very far apart, and I’m very petite so I think it may have been a more difficult case. Office staff was good for the most part but I had a bit of trouble getting prompt answers to a few of my questions after the consult. I felt a bit rushed to pay and like I was annoying them with all of my questions but that could’ve been in my head own because they did provide the answers as promptly as they could lol! I did read a few reviews that mentioned being rushed out of the OR or their ride being called multiple for pick up back to back. I did not have this issue and my nurse was very nice and patient. I’m one day post op, definitely having a lot of boob greed. I think I have went too small but I had an increased chance of double bubble due to my anatomy so I knew we weren’t going to be able to go very big. Already thinking about getting them redone in a few years know that I know what to expect! Updated on 8 Aug 2023: Thought they were too small but they just needed time to settle in (duh!). Can’t wait to see my final results, they’re looking better and better everyday and I’m only like 4 days post op. Just had my first post op appt and that went great. Getting stitches out was scary but not painful. Love the nurses so much they’re so sweet and gentle. Dr. Barrett did an amazing job, genuinely shocked at how smoothly my recovery is going. 2/10 on the pain scale maximum for me. The compression bra is the most uncomfortable part by a long shot. Sleeping upright wasn’t as bad as I expected either. Haven’t had to take the prescribed pain meds once. So excited to wear a bikini!! Pic is 2 days post op. Updated on 9 Aug 2023: Realself isn’t letting me update my previous review. They are definitely not too small haha! Can’t believe how quickly my body is changing. They’re already so pretty! Not even taking the Tylenol every 6 hours anymore but I am staying strict on Dr. Barrett’s post care instructions and vitamin/antibiotic regimen. I do have topical CBD body oil and balm, I’ve found the body oil is much easier to apply so I’ve been using that everyday. I also took the pre op vitamins and CBD oil Dr. Barrett recommended before surgery and put on body butter/bio-oil twice a day for a few weeks leading up to surgery to try to get my skin ready to stretch (not recommended by Dr I just thought it might help lol) Forgot to post size and profile as well: 350cc Sientra Moderate profile implants I weigh about 105lbs and I’m 5”4’ I wore an A cup bombshell bra or AA normal bra before. I’ll update when they’re fluffed with new size :) Pic is 5 days post op. Ripples are not stretch marks, just indents from the compression bra. Updated on 11 Aug 2023: Found a little lump under my left boob, it kind of feels like an air bubble in the implant or something. If I lean a certain way and press on it, it’s kind of… crunchy? Can definitely feel the implant right there as well. It’s a little sore but that could be from my continually checking if it’s gone away. Emailed the medical team last night but I know today is surgery day for them so I’m hoping to hear back by EOD, I’ll update when I do. It’s faintly visible as well, pics attached. Updated on 11 Aug 2023: Just got off the phone with one of the medical staff, that was fast! Dr. Barrett looked at the pics and said that it looks like part of the normal healing process. The nurse said I’m probably just feeling the bottom of the implant and not to worry. It’s normal for one implant to be more swollen and to be sore in that spot. Also said to stop touching it so I don’t risk messing up the pocket, to just keep wearing my compression bra, and that they’ll take a closer look at my follow up on Thursday. Whew! First kinda scary thing I’ve gone through since I got them in, so grateful that they got back to me so quickly and had my surgeon look it over as well :) I’m trying so hard not to let my anxiety take over but it can be a bit difficult when they change so much day to day haha! Updated on 11 Aug 2023: Dr. Barrett and team sent flowers today :) Everyone has been so lovely so far, i didn’t think it could get better but it just did! What a sweet surprise to open the front door to. I feel very lucky to live so close to such a skilled surgeon with such a caring team. Updated on 12 Aug 2023: The lump feels like it’s getting worse, it hurts more today as well. That breast feels engorged and heavy too, idk how else to describe it. Thursday can’t come fast enough I’m getting a bit worried! It’s like a crunchy air bubble with swelling around it and it’s changing the shape of that side. This is very specific but it honestly feels kind of like those little plastic things inside of squeaky toys for dogs. It sort of throbs when I’m just sitting down, if I lean over, when I sit up. Right breast feels totally fine and normal, no lumps or bumps or pains. Pretty freaky! Going to continue to update here because I haven’t been able to find anything similar to what I’m experiencing online. (Line seen in pic is indent from bra) Updated on 15 Aug 2023: Took off my steristrips to replace them because it felt like they were pulling on my incision and it’s looking a little crazy under there. Lump still feels like its getting worse no matter what I do. I was able to move my appointment up to tomorrow, thank goodness. I’ll update again once I know more! Updated on 17 Aug 2023: Had my 2nd follow up today. Incision is normal its just healing and the lump is just the implant basically coming out of its pocket or something like that but that it should go away, what a relief! Getting the 2nd set of stitches out hurt like absolute hell. For me, that was the worst/most painful part of this entire process! It felt like they were a mile long, like it took 30 minutes to get them out, and like my boobs were getting ripped in half. Soooo glad that’s over with haha. Was told to keep using t-rex arms for 4 more weeks, it’s going to be hard since I live alone but I’ll stick with it. Definitely don’t want to mess up my results!
This isn’t going to be another “I would give 10 stars if I could “ review, because if I could, I would give Dr.Barrett and his team a hundred stars!!! If you are from out of state or out of the country and considering getting a procedure by Dr. Barrett, my review might be helpful to you as I flew in from out of state for my breast augmentation. I’ve researched multiple clinics and doctors before my appointment with Dr. Barrett. I’d seen a breast augmentation he did on a client of mine and was taken aback by how natural her breasts looked. I’ve seen a lot of breast augmentations and trust me, his work is really second to none. I wouldn’t have guessed her breasts were fake until she told me. It was a first for me. From my initial consultation , to my surgery to my last follow up, every single detail was meticulously attended to. Dr. Barrett is such a kind person and dedicated professional- I knew after meeting with home that my procedure would be a success. His aesthetic is very tasteful and his before and afters speak for themselves. I am very happy with my results and knew I could trust him. The communication, care and attention from his excellent team made the whole process so smooth- Colleen and Karla went the extra mile to make sure I was super prepared for my surgery day and that my recovery was easy. They were quick to recommend where I should get my lab tests and answered any question I had with patience and compassion. Colleen arranged a fantastic aftercare service to take me to my hotel and take care of me. Rosalyn was pivotal in helping me schedule my surgery because a) was flying in from out of state alone and had no idea what it would be like and b) I have a rumbunctious pup at home that I had also no idea what to do with after my surgery. She helped me figure out all the minutiae and logistics of preparing for the surgery, figuring out what to do with my pup and setting up my recovery. The level of attention and care was just outstanding - I did it technically alone but I never felt like it. Every other member of his staff was just as caring and attentive - it’s an incredible place and an amazing team. This practice really sets a gold standard - it was a dream of an experience and I can’t recommend Dr.Barrett and his clinic enough, they really do have it all.
Hands down the best experience I could have asked for. His wife and team are the absolute best and took such great care of me. I was an out-of-town patient and the process was so easy. They were in constant communication about the next steps and it was always so easy to chat with someone via text. It was so convenient! I have always known that Dr. Barrett's practices aligned with the results that I wanted but I am now 3-4 weeks out from surgery and I am blown away with the results. I couldn't have asked for a better outcome. He was so easy to chat with and made me feel so comfortable the whole way through. His office is so beautiful and his team took top-notch care of me while I was there. 10/10 RECOMMEND.
I have been thinking of getting a breast augmentation for over 10 years, and now that I have finally done it I have zero regrets. I have always felt like I wasn't quite proportional since I always had a waist and a butt yet very small breasts (large A cup), and I knew I would eventually get a breast augmentation. I have followed Dr. Barrett closely over the years and knew I didn't want anyone else to do my surgery. I love his emphasis on natural breast augmentations, as that was the look I was going for. I was aiming for a small to full C, something that would balance and not overwhelm my frame, and wanted them to look and feel as natural as possible (nice underboob, slanted on top and not too full, etc). I finally bit the bullet and booked a consult, followed quickly by booking my surgery. Dr. Barrett and his team were very communicative and attentive during the period between my consult and the surgery. I just had my surgery on May 5, and had such a fantastic experience. I really hadn't been nervous at all leading up to the procedure, but the night before I fully realized that I was going to go into real surgery and had a bit of anxiety about it (nothing to stop me of course!). I had an early check in time of 6am the day of surgery, and the nurses and Dr. Barrett truly put me at ease. Once Dr. Barrett came in the room to review my goals and answer my final questions, I immediately felt my anxiety leave and I fully trusted in the outcome. The surgery itself went off without a hitch, and I woke up before I knew it with boobs (!!). I got mentor moderate profile 275cc both sides, dual plane placement (partially under muscle), periareolar incision (small incision at bottom of nipple). I am currently on day 5 post op, and the recovery has been relatively easy, even easier than I expected (and also harder in weird ways if that makes sense). I love Dr. Barrett's emphasis on holistic healing first, so I've been following his recommended product and supplement regimen, and I am happy to say that I have not needed narcotics AT ALL, nor been in any real pain. It's mostly just been uncomfortable because of the tightness of my chest adjusting to the implants and because I have limited arm mobility. Each day gets even better, and I actually feel pretty normal now. I didn't really realize just how much my arm mobility would be impacted, which is the only hard and frustrating part, but it has definitely improved each day and I know it's temporary so it's not bothering me too much. I just love to move freely and do things for myself, which is why I am frustrated, but worth the temporary frustration! Right after surgery my breasts had more of a pec look, super tight and compressed (which I expected from looking at RealSelf). They are definitely still high and tight and have a ways to go, but looking at my progress photos (which I've been taking daily), I can already see a difference. They are starting to round/fill out and drop down the tiniest bit. Still very firm of course, I'm looking forward to when they will soften up. So excited to see how they will change over the next several months! I use my handheld LightStim device (red light therapy) every day, and will continue to do so. I went to my first post-op today, and got the first layer of stitches removed and my tape replaced. They also used their LightStim panel on me for 15 minutes. I will have three more post ops at 2 weeks, 6 weeks, and 4 months. Everything looks good so far! I'll keep posting progress photos and updates as my new boobs heal! Ridiculously happy with them. Thank you so much, Dr. Barrett & team! Updated on 10 May 2023: Figured I would add my physical stats in as I found it helpful when I was doing research, and it was hard for me to find many people around my size on here. I am 5’4” and about 115lbs, have a slim athletic build and am (was!) pear shaped. Updated on 12 May 2023: Officially 1 week post op and I can already see the progress. I wish it were faster haha, but trying to trust the progress and seeing the difference only a week has made really helps! Boobs are starting to look a bit more normal and rounded, but still high and tight. My left is dropping slightly faster than my right, which makes sense because I’m right side dominant and that side definitely feels tighter. My surgeon’s office said to try to even out my arm movements between right and left, and I am doing extra red light therapy on my right side. Forgot to mention that in the first 3 days after surgery I developed a lot of abdominal swelling that slowly traveled downwards (which is why my torso looks so odd in the earlier photos), but thankfully that resolved itself fully by day 5. Started fish oil and turmeric supplements today, finished with antibiotics. Can’t wait to see continued results, will post a 2 week report. Had my 2nd appointment yesterday and had final stitches removed. Everything is healing really nicely. I need to continue to wear the steri strips for 2 more weeks. I’m very happy with my surgeon’s protocol, never had pain just tightness and discomfort and I do feel like all of his recommended holistic supplement regimen has been extremely helpful in aiding a quick and easy recovery. Swelling resolved quickly and never had any bruising either, incisions are great! I can sleep on my side now and resume lower body workouts, which is nice. Very pleased with the size, I think 275cc was perfect for me. I look proportionate but also large and can tell the cleavage and final result is going to be amazing. Left boob is still healing faster than my right, thankfully not extremely noticeable but very excited for the right to catch up. The implants feel more and more like a part of my body every day and my mobility improves each day as well. Can’t wait for them to start to feel soft and to drop more into the lower half of my breasts. Nipples are hypersensitive now, wearing tops is uncomfortable because the fabric brushes against them and they are just soooo sensitive (which I’m actually glad about because it means I didn’t lose nipple sensation). I look absolutely ridiculous in any clothing that is not a bit baggy, which has been frustrating but I know it’s temporary. One thing that I want to note is that while I have had no pain and a good recovery in generally, recovering from a breast augmentation is a lot more than I thought it would be. Having such limited arm mobility is extremely frustrating, especially when you live alone (as I do). Had trouble even driving until recently. Can’t lift anything, so taking out my trash and grocery shopping has been challenging. I miss the gym. I have been dealing with a bit of depression because of how firm and high my breasts are, I don’t feel sexy or attractive yet. I say all of this because I really thought recovery would be a lot easier physically and mentally and was not prepared for how difficult it would be, so I want to prepare others that this is not necessarily the case. Reading reviews here and watching other people’s progression has actually been really helpful, it reminds me that this is temporary and for a relatively short period of time, and soon I will have amazing breasts that look and feel great! Taking progress photos has also been helpful as it reminds me that I am in fact healing and the trajectory is upward. Won’t be like this for much longer. Overall though, no regrets about the surgery and very pleased with my choice of surgeon. Looking forward to feeling better in the next 2-4 weeks once I see more healing progression! Updated on 2 Jun 2023: Now 4 weeks post op and I feel MUCH better mentally. Boobs still need to drop more and are high but the swelling has decreased drastically and they look so much better, even in some clothes. Finally daring to show them off in public a bit. Trusting the process more as well. Very excited to see how they continue to develop! They are the PERFECT size for me and I’m incredibly happy with them. My mobility as also greatly improved (yay!) and I feel so much more normal. The scars are almost fully healed as well, the scab on one nipple is completely gone and you can barely tell there was a scar to begin with. Very impressed with my surgeon. Will post another update after my third post op appt and another at 6 weeks post op. Updated on 6 Jun 2023: Had my about 5 week post op appointment and it went well. My surgeon said my boobs are still higher than he would like at this stage, so I’m starting massages today and going to focus on reducing stress and relaxing my muscles. Work has been stressful so I’m sure that hasn’t helped. Got a CBD pen and will continue to take the fish oil and magnesium supplements. My surgeon said I should be concerned in that I need to make sure I do my massages and follow his recommendations so they drop further, but that there didn’t appear to be anything serious to worry about yet. I did have small breasts to start as well as lots of skin elasticity and muscle definition, so I’m not surprised mine are taking longer to drop. Hoping the massages make a difference over the next couple of weeks! Updated on 16 Jun 2023: Boobs keep changing every day! Feeling so good about their progress. I am now cleared to lift my arms over my head and I have my full range of motion, no discomfort or weirdness. I am also cleared to lift again, but I think I am going to avoid upper body exercises for a while and focus on my legs and butt (which I prefer to do anyway). I have been doing massages multiple times a day and using my red light, and I can truly see a difference from my last post op to now. Both are much more naturally sloped on top and I can feel the implants descending. The left is still more far along than the right, but the right is also making progress! I can see some jiggle like a natural boob in my left now (finally), and it feels a lot softer and looks a lot fuller. Will be nice when the right catches up, but I’m trying not to worry about it. Boobs look incredible in most tops and definitely in bikinis. So glad I am over the weird initial hump and that I did this! Will continue to post updates, I’m hoping there will be even more progress by July 4 weekend. Updated on 5 Jul 2023: I’ve seen so much progress over the past month! They still have a lot more dropping and fluffing to do, but they get softer every day and are a lot more jiggly now. I can see/feel them dropping more as well; it feels like the left one is mostly in the pocket but the surrounding tissues need to stretch more to accommodate, and the right one is just a little bit behind the left. I can see more under boob forming on both now. Cleavage is fantastic, looks super natural. I am getting some boob greed. I wish I had gone up to 325cc instead of 275. I’m not unhappy at all, I LOVE my boobs and they look really proportionate and wonderful on my frame. Just feeling like I wish they were a little bigger, especially since I know there is still swelling that will go down. But overall I am glad I went with this size, it looks natural on my body and since they are reasonable for my frame the healing process has been good. If I’m still not happy with the size in a year or two I will just upgrade to larger implants, and since my breast will already have stretched and the pocket is there the recovery will be a lot easier than if I had instantly gone to a larger size. No regrets overall! Updated on 5 Jul 2023: Comparison photo didn’t load properly so adding it here! Updated on 10 Jul 2023: I realized I never put up a before photo, so here is me the night before my operation (very small, I was a large A cup and pretty much all of that was in the lower pole with no upper pole at all). Updated on 4 Aug 2023: Tomorrow is officially 3 months post op! Super happy with how they have developed! They slope more naturally on the top now, have dropped a lot. Still a little more dropping and a lot more fluffing to do, but I’m now at the stage where people can’t tell they are fake (by sight at least, they still have more softening to do but have already softened significantly). I met a new girlfriend a week ago and mentioned casually that my boobs finally look more normal now and she was surprised that I had gotten them done because they look natural (win!). I am working out and lifting fully normally, no weirdness. I did stop focusing on upper body training though, I already have a lot of upper body muscle and it develops easily so I do mostly compound leg workouts now. I don’t feel limited in my movements at all though. Very excited to see how the fluffing and underboob continues to develop, it’s already looking promising! Will share another update at the 4 month mark. Updated on 6 Sep 2023: Still very happy with how they are continuing to develop! Have gotten a lot softer and more jiggly but are still firmer than I want them to be. My friends who have had them done say it takes up to a year for them to fully soften and it’s only been 4 months, so I’m trying not to freak out about that. They are really looking amazing though! So much more natural and full, with some great under boob development. In my opinion they still *look* a little too firm/round than I want; I want them to compress a little more naturally when they are squeezed if that makes sense, they’re not quite there yet but I’m excited for them to get there. Right is still a little behind the left, but it is still progressing so I’m also trying not to worry about that either. Overall - yay!! Updated on 7 Oct 2023: 5 months in and breasts have dramatically softened both to the touch and in their look, which is what I wanted! Swelling is gone I think and they are settling nicely. I saw my surgeon for my final post op shortly after my 4 month update, and he said they still have a few more months before fully dropped (were still sitting a little high). They are still not fully dropped but continue to make progress every day! Love having boobs, feels like I always had them now. I do still wish I had gone larger (though I know that’s what everyone says). I’m still very happy with them and think they are proportional to my body and look very sexy, but I was aiming for them to look a bit more full than it looks like they will end up being. Wish I had done 325-350cc or something. Whenever I get them redone I will ask if that is feasible for my body. Thinking that if I have the funds in a few years I may do that, but we’ll see. Still very happy though! They’re developing great and are definitely a lot more than I had before. Updated on 6 Nov 2023: Looking and feeling great! Getting softer and looking better every day. You can really tell how much they’ve dropped from the progress comparison photo. I don’t think they’re quite done yet and right is still a little behind the left, but they’re awesome. I know by one year they’re going to be perfect. Will never be as soft as a natural boob but are still very soft and improving a lot in feel. Loving how they’re sitting in the pocket and can really visualize their final position now. Scars have healed very well, they are barely noticeable. Left one you can’t really see, right one more visible but not bad at all and continues to fade. I really don’t have any mobility issues, though some upper body lifting movements don’t feel great so I avoid those or don’t use weight. Upper body on a Pilates reformer machine is not great, nor are chest-focused lifting exercises. I don’t mind at all though, I do other movements that feel good and focus on legs. Haven’t missed chest exercises at all. I still go through waves of boob greed, but on the whole those periods pass and I’m glad I have boobs that complement my frame well. And they’re definitely big for my frame, I forget that until I see pictures of myself, ha! A quite large handful, perfect for my body. This is definitely one of the best things I’ve done for myself, so happy and no regrets Updated on 30 Nov 2023: Adding in a quick update to share some recent pics of my boobs in real life. All are from the last month and a half. Excuse the dirty mirror on some of the pics!! Updated on 8 Jan 2024: They really do soften up after a while! Mine are almost as soft as I want them to be now, have made such great progess. Not much else has changed, I feel like they mostly look the same as 6 months post op with bit more softness, looking more natural. Still no regrets! Love my boobs. Great under-boob and hang. My boyfriend said they are “magnificent” haha. Will try to post some clothes pictures over the next few months, and will post another full update at the 1 year mark. Updated on 11 Jan 2024: One more photo from today that I like! I still feel like they have more “fluffing” to go, which I’m sure they will do up through 1 year post op. The only thing I don’t love about them (which is probably unavoidable with implants no matter what you do) is that when I put my shoulders back or arch my back, the gap between them widens and they look a little implant-y and fake. You can see a bigger gap in the photos from the other day because I was putting my shoulders more back. Oh well, can’t have it all! Still prefer having larger fake boobs over having super small ones like before. I’ll see if this is something that’s possible to address whenever I do my revision surgery. Updated on 4 Apr 2024: I will be one year post op tomorrow and overall I’m super happy with the results! They look fantastic and I’m excited to see them continue to look more natural over time. No regrets, I am so glad I did this for myself. Positives: - LOVE the size, very well proportioned for my body. - I have great under boob and a nice slope on the top. - I fill out clothes and swimsuits so well. - Finally feel like my body is balanced. - I don’t even think about them anymore, they feel great in my body. Negatives: - Will never feel quite as soft as natural breast, will always be a bit firmer (they’re still soft and not hard as rocks though, and I’d rather have them like this than what they were before) - I wish I had gotten an areolar reduction at the same time. I didn’t have huge nipples before but they were large compared to the size of my breasts, and they stretched over time after surgery and because of that look quite puffy (almost a double mound on top of my breasts at times). When I get them redone, I will definitely have the areola size reduced as it bothers me a bit. But overall still happy! There are definitely things I would like to adjust when I get them redone, but I’m so happy with how they turned out. Feel free to reach out with any questions! I’ll probably post updated photos every 6 months to a year moving forward. Updated on 31 May 2024: Still looking great! Updated on 2 Dec 2024: Still love them!
I had the best experience with Dr. Barrett. I received a breast augmentation with Dr Barrett and I honestly couldn’t be any happier. I spent about 2 years watch dr Barrett’s work before finally making my appointment so I was pretty familiar with his work and standards and he truly lived up to every one of them. Finally have the best boobs I’ve always wanted. The care team was also amazing and patient with alllllll the questions. I highly recommend for your breast augmentation or anything your looking to have done!! Pictures are before and 1 year after surgery
Dear Fierce169488, determining whether you need simply a breast augmentation versus a breast lift can be somewhat complicated. It depends on a number of factors including skin laxity and current nipple position. Generally speaking, if the nipples are lower than the inframammary line the patient will most likely need a breast lift. If the nipples are at or above the inframammary line we can generally get by with just a breast augmentation depending on the size of the implant the patient wants. I often still using implant when I perform a breast lift because it provides more upper breast fullness after the lift. To be sure a consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon will help determine what the patient actually needs. Dear PancakesPK, my preferred lift is a lollipop lift when a periareolar won't do (ie greater than 2cm lift required). The lollipop technique was created by a Canadian plastic surgeon named Elizabeth Hall-Findley and treats the breast as a three dimensional structure instead of two dimensions (anchor - lift). Most importantly it does not require the horizontal component scars that the anchor-lift requires and breasts appear much more natural, lifted, and less boxy. Lastly, the lift lasts longer because the lollipop doesn't rely on the skin to hold the breast up, its actually breast tissue thats being brought together to support the breast and hence improves longevity. Dear nikiperth, I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what is wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice.
