It's never a good idea to have elective surgery with an active infection as this can increase your complication rate.

I have patients take antibiotics (usually Keflex unless they have an allergy) for 24 hours after BBL (and almost all surgeries).  There is no good evidence that antibiotics have any benefit beyond 24 hours after this type of surgery.
