Hi i am a 33 year old Pakistani (South Asian) man living in United Kingdom I am going for my first hair transplant this year. I am loosing hair in my crown area with noticeable hair loss (pic included) my mid scalp and frontal area hair is good I understand hair transplant is not advised for crown first but that is why i need to know if my donar area looks good so if i do get the hair transplant in the crown then i have enough grafts to cover future hair loss in mid and front scalp Thank you
Answer: How is my donor area? You are correct about exercising caution when considering transplants to the crown in men in their early 30’s.Having said that you do appear to have a good donor supply however there might be some mild retrograde hair loss at the nape of the neck.Consult with your surgeon.

Answer: Hair Transplant Candidate The success or results of a hair transplant surgery is not about "how many" or "the number of grafts". The results depend on a variety of other factors such as how long you keep your hair, how you style your hair, the hair color to skin color contrast, curl of your hair, the thickness of your hair. If you have very fine straight hair that you keep very short, a hair transplant surgery will NOT look good. The overall success of a hair transplant surgery depends on: (1) artistic and technical skill of your doctor and team (2) communication between you and your doctor to establish a realistic goal.

Answer: Donor area Hi there. As you are still young you will need to be cautious as to how many grafts you transplant. You have a healthy donor area. The key in the crown area is to find a surgeon who is skilled in giving you more hairs per follicle as well as double follicular units. This way you can use fewer grafts for a greater aesthetic result and still have enough of a donor area to deal with future hair loss.

Answer: Donor area Yes you do have enough donor grafts, especially if you're willing to take propecia daily. Of course, a lot depends on your genetic profile - talk to your hair surgeon (what does your father and siblings hair look like?) Does your surgeon belong to ISHRS? (see ISHRS.org).

Answer: Future Hair Transplant Need Thank you for supplying your pictures. Your age for crown restoration with hair transplant is on the younger side, but it will depend on your future expected hair loss. Your donor density appears adequate but that is subject to an in person assessment. Hair loss in your anterior scalp can be assessed to help predict more loss in that area. Prescription finasteride also works very well in crown balding and should also be considered as well to help regrow hair and diminish more hair loss.
