Had 2 moles removed from my back 3 days ago. They are extremely itchy and look really gross. I've been cleaning w/soap 2x per day and covering w/Vaseline and bandaids; keeping them moist, as instructed. I'm concerned they may be infected because they are so itchy and red. My friend thinks they look moldy. Thoughts?

Hello, these moles appear to have been removed using a shave technique. There does not seem to be any infection and the symptoms that you describe, such as itching are quite common. I often suggest the application of Cicaplast, by Larouche-Posay, an OTC product that really seems to help with the healing process. This lesion will take a few weeks to heal. I would suggest you see the physician who performed the procedure for further instructions.
