One of peoples greatest fears after rhinoplasty is that they might look like a different person, and that is simply not the case. Based on your photo and your desires, you were looking to achieve a narrowing of the lower 1/3 of your nose, and I believe this is possible. Hello and thank you for your question. Based on your photograph, you may benefit from a tip refining rhinoplasty. Your surgeon can accomplish this by trimming, suturing, and reshaping the cartilage in your lower nose. Cartilage grafts may also be used to help improve tip refinement. With good surgical technique, you could have an outstanding result. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified rhinoplasty surgeon who can evaluate you in person.

Unfortunately it is not possible to give you good advice based on these photos. In person consultation with an experienced Board certified plastic surgeon with good reputation in nose surgery would help. Many offices with high volume of nose surgeries will have a 3D simulation software which may give you idea about possible options. Good luck.

The nose is a three-dimensional structure, so a full set of facial photographs from all angles are required to make a determination about how to proceed. A closed rhinoplasty approach can accomplish narrowing the bridge line, refining the nasal tip, and shaving down a dorsal hump, with all the incisions placed on the inside of the nose. This can accomplish making the entire nose, smaller in a three-dimensional fashion. Digital computer imaging from multiple angles would help you understand what can be accomplished with a closed rhinoplasty procedure. Choose your rhinoplasty specialist wisely, since this procedure is the most difficult operation to perform correctly in the entire field of cosmetic surgery
