In my opinion, it is safer and more effective to do a hair transplant surgery to correct the hairline over a forehead reduction procedure. Because this is a hairline receding issue and not a forehead issue, I think a hair transplant would be the best route. Of course, you should meet with an experienced hair restoration surgeon to best determine your candidacy. We have had great success in resolving receding hairlines with hair transplantation. The transplanted hair is permanent, and you wouldn’t have to worry about hair loss in that area again. If you decide to explore the forehead reduction route, please be extremely cautious, as complications with this procedure are common. There are issues with scarring and nerve damage that cannot be reversed. Also, forehead reductions do not solve hair loss concerns, and as you age, your hair loss will likely progress, receding even further.
