To call something they do not understand "just marketing" it is misinformation to the consumer. If you do not understand a procedure and you think liposuction is only liposuction, then you are exhibiting your ignorance. Thank you for your question!  You need a formal evaluation by an expert in body shaping and contouring to determine what is best. Hello and thank you for your question. Some of these terms are just marketing tools and are aimed to charge you more or get patients in. Both are liposuction. Liposuction HD refers to the ability to perform superficial liposuction to give patients a more sculpted look. Make sure your surgeon is board-certified. Etching is a procedure to cut lines in the fat to make it look like muscle definition but it jiggles and looks weird. Don't do it.  Lipo HD and lipo 360 are just marketing terms to try to get your business from unscrupulous docs to over sell you something.  You can't make up for lack of experience.  Get a lipo doc with many, many years experience and who keeps up with the latest true technology.  If he/she sounds like a car salesman with a million things to offer--then just say thank you and walk away.
