What is a "the ponytail lift"? What are typical costs for it? (photos)

Although I'm a facelift expert, and attend all the latest PS meetings, this term was new to me.  So, I googled it, and found that it's one surgeon's name for an endoscopic facelift, combined with some fat grafting.  I was unable to find any peer reviewed published evidence to describe it in detail, or to show that it is superior to other methods.Sounds like marketing.

If a few plastic surgery offices were not able to help you explain this procedure, then this may be a sign...Given that there are really no secrets in facial plastic surgery, I would stop searching the elusive and find a knowledgeable and experienced facial surgeon.  

 The most immediate way to achieve the look you desire is through makeup techniques -- creating a "cat eye" effect with a great gel eyeliner. 

I have never heard of a pony tail lift and after researching it, it appears to be a marketing gimmick to somehow set this doctor aside from others as doing something "different".  The description of what it is, is what many doctors do all the time.  To create a more upward slanted eye you would require a lateral canthopexy.  Your plastic surgeon can describe the procedure to you in detail so you can decide if this would be what you wish.

surgeons who call their signature lift this name. upturned eyes, firmer jawline
and reduction in facial expression lines can be achieved when hair is put in a
tight ponytail, and in turn, these can also be achieved with surgical facelift
techniques.

I have not heard of a Ponytail lift - this sounds like a branded or trademarked name for some form of face or eye lifting procedure. What you describe you are looking for would be called a lateral canthopexy - this is a procedure to reset the outside corner of the eye and to provide support to the lower eyelid.  In performing this procedure the position of the corner of the eye can be slightly raised or lowered to give the eye a more upward slant.

I have never heard of a ponytail lift. Many names are marketed as great inventions, and they are nothing but the same procedures we all do (with a bigger public relations agent).  Concentrate on finding a board-certified plastic surgeon or facial plastic surgeon and do not pay attention to "named" procedures.  Hi, honestly looking at your photo a facelift of any kind does not seem indicated.  I have performed many facial shaping procedures using dermal fillers, silastic facial implants (cheek implants, chin implants, lip implants), liposuction and/or facelifts for over 30 years.  From the photos, your cheeks are very flat in the front, the chin is very weak and there are no signs of "jowls" in the lower face (the main indication for any type of facelift procedure).  These combine to create an elongated, thin, oval shaped face.  
 Following my beauty principles, women look the most feminine, youthful and attractive with heart shaped faces.  Heart shaped faces have cheeks that are full and round in the front.  When the cheeks are concave or flat in the front, cheek augmentation with a dermal filler or using silastic cheek implants (for a permanent enhancement) can create full, round cheeks that will feminize the entire face.
 I have performed many Chin Augmentations using chin implants for over 30 years.  From the photos, your chin is weak.  A weak chin creates an imbalance making the nose appear larger, the mid face top heavy and the lower face look short that de-emphasizes the lips and allows early formation of a double chin.  Chin augmentation using a chin implant will add projection to the chin creating harmony and balance to the lower face. 
 I have found that placement of a silastic chin implant, through a small curved incision under the chin (also allows excess skin removal) to be very safe, quick, highly effective and far less invasive than a sliding genioplasty.  I perform chin implant surgery in 30 minutes or less, often using a local anesthetic alone.  In my opinion, you are a good candidate for cheek and chin implant surgery.
 I suspect that the back portion of your jaw line is a bit weak which can be augmented, without making your face appear masculine, using precise placement of a dermal filler (I prefer using Restylane Lyft).  Finally, if you want more almond shaped eyes, a canthopexy can be considered but this would be a localized procedure that doesn't require any type of a facelift.
