Profound RF vs Morpheus8 - how do these treatments differ in terms of depth of needles and RF energy power?

Profound Rf is much more powerful than Morpheus 8. Profound heats skin to 68 degree Celsius which is the optimal temperature for skin to build new collagen, elastin and Hyaluronic acid but Morpheus 8 heats skin to 43 degree Celsius . Each pulse of Profound is much longer compared to Morpheus (each Profound pulse lasts up to 4 seconds) and there is a sensor to control the temperature so with Profound overall heating of deep skin is more efficient and more controlled at the same time. With regular settings, Profound goes deeper than Morpheus 8 but Morpheus in hands of an experienced practitioner can reach to the depth of 4 mm which is comparable to Profound depth.
In conclusion, in my experience, Profound RF could be 4 to 6 times more effective than Morpheus 8 in lifting and tightening of skin.

Morpheus8 and Profound radiofrequency microneedling are both minimally invasive skin treatments, but they have differences in technology and application. Morpheus8 combines microneedling with radiofrequency energy to stimulate collagen and tighten the skin. It can heat the dermis to 47 degree C. Profound, on the other hand, uses a radiofrequency microneedling device that delivers precise energy to deeper skin layers and can heat to 67 degrees C. It's is 4 times as powerful as Morpheus8. For this reason, multiple sessions are needed with Morpheus8 and a single session is required with Profound. I prefer Profound for most indications.Find an expert.

Profound RF needles penetrate deeper and emit much more power than Morpheus 8 microneedles. They are both excellent technologies. Profound RF is more effective because of the depth and power of one treatment. Morpheus 8 requires multiple treatments. There is a longer recovery period (1 week) from Profound RF because of swelling and bruising, but results are better. Both treatments are uncomfortable, I usually sedate my patients for their Profound RF treatment, and often combine it with Sculptra, PRP, and a light laser to boot! Neither Profound RF or Morph8 are a "commodity" so it is essential to choose your treating physician carefully. Good luck and be well.

Our office Secret RF, which is similar to Morpheus8, and Profound. Secret RF is a whole face and neck treatment with micro needling and radiofrequency. The dept of the needles varies from person to person and on the location of treatment. For example, the needles going into the cheeks will go more deep than the forehead, depth settings would vary based on the client's face and skin thickness. In comparison to Profound, it is two very different procedures. Profound is only indicated for the lower half of the face (and certain body parts), it is not indicated for the upper half of the face due to the delicate and thinner skin. Profound is stronger and deeper and you only need one treatments vs 3-4 for Secret RF. Profound works best (for face) for sagging neck, jowls, and chin. For a whole face skin tightening treatment, Secret RF or Morpheus8 would be a better option.
