Thankyou very much for your question. Theschedule of post-op appointments will vary according to the surgeon performing thebreast augmentation surgery. In general, patients are seen 1-2 days following the surgery, then at two and six weekspost-op. A follow-up is also normallyplanned for a year out, as well.
In my practice I typically like to see my Breast Augmentation patient's 1 week post-op. Then I like to see them another 1 week post-op...then typically 1 month and then again at 6 mos. If there are any complications I may see the patient for more visits as well.
Hi.. thank you for the question... this varies with every PS.. In my practice, i evaluate the patient 3 days after surgery, then at the day 7-10... and then follow ups.
In my practice I see patients 5 to 7 days for suture removal. There checked again in three weeks in anticipation of resumption of athletic activity. I then see them at three months and six months and one year. Patients however may visit the office anytime they wish.
Hello! Thank you for your question! Appointment visits will vary among surgeons as well as how you are progressing postoperatively. In my practice, I see patients within the first couple of days postoperative. Then, the following week, a few weeks after that, and a few months after that. Of course, this will vary on patient comfort level and as long as all is healing and settling appropriately. My patients will call me personally and have an appointment whenever she deems necessary or has questions/concerns. Usually I see patients at several months to a year after that to ensure expectations met and results obtained. Hope that this helps! Best wishes!
Hi lanisha91. Thank you for your question regarding appointment after a breast augmentation. This varies between offices. I see my patients the next day for a quick check, answer questions and do the irst dressing change. A return visit the next week for in office treatments to decrease swelling, stretch the muscle, and/or scar care as necessary. Follow ups are available at one month, three months, six months and a year to check on return to activities, the scar, breast appearance, photos, etc. Of course, appts are available in between as needed. Hope this helps.
This will vary from surgeon to surgeon and depends on the extent of the operation, your medical conditions, and how they are concerned about your recovery process. It is usually very individually based. I would discuss this with your plastic surgeon. Usually if everything goes well and you are healthy you do not need very close follow-up and can be seen 1-2 weeks after the operation and then months or years later. #PlasticSurgery #BreastAug #Recovery #Postopappointments
Thank you for your question. At my practice, I like to see patients 2 days after their Breast Augmentation. At this appointment we take the wrap off, make sure everything looks good, teach displacement exercises and fit you for a sports bra. The next appointment is at 1 week to have sutures removed. If everything is going well, we see you at 1 month to lift restrictions. Then at a 3 month appointment we take after photos and discharge you if you are healing normally. Good luck.
This is an important question especially if you live a significant distance from your surgeon. My normal postop schedule may be a little different than other surgeons, but I like to be sure you are healing properly and that you are developing a normal capsule around your implant. Your first postop appointment is between 5-8 days. I will then see you every month for the first three months. If you breasts are perfect at that time, I will see you back on an as needed basis. I encourage my patients to return as soon as possible if they think their breasts are changing. Since the most common complication after breast augmentation is capsular contracture, I tell my patients to pay close attention to the upper inner area of the breasts. If one side becomes more full than the other, that could indicate an early capsular contracture. Early capsular contractures are treated with an elastic strap and acculate, a medicine known to cause early capsular contractures to resolve. Early diagnosis of postop breast implant complications can usually be treated without surgery using straps, acculate or specials support bras.
After a Breast augmentation, the post op visits, are very important. The first month is good that you visit your doctor once a week, after the first month, once every 3 months, and then past the first year, you can go once a year. It is always important to keep the regular visits the first year of the procedure to make sure that the surgery was successful.
Thank you very much for your question. The 15-pound weight loss, causing your cup size to go from a B to an A, means a decrease in the fatty tissue of your breast. This should reverse itself with weight gain.
It is normal to feel and hear fluid around the implants for up to a month. Ice compression will help to reduce this swelling and fluid sensation.
It seems to me by your picture that you will also need a lift with the implants. It is not really fair to assess the implant size based on someone else's implant size and results UNLESS they had the exact same breast size, back size, quality and type od skin, muscle thickness, degree of...
9 days is cutting it close after mastopexy / augmentation, especially if your clients and livelihood depend on you to not need to reschedule. Why stress? Plan two weeks minimum.
Waiting 6 weeks after breast augmentation is the general rule before vigorous exercise. Discuss with your surgeon the wisdom of potentially going over the muscle rather than under the muscle with the implants. I operate on a number of bodybuilders and often times they will prefer this look so...
Based upon your pictures and the story you tell about the nipples peeking out seems like a case of "bottoming", i.e. the implants are somewhat too low relative to the nipples. Fortunately, this can be corrected by suturing the pocket capsule at the lower crease, but this will...
