Hi there, I'm wanting to get a rhinoplasty later this year, and I'm wondering if having fillers in my cheeks, and under eyes will affect the outcome, and if they should be dissolved beforehand? I know there could swelling and I'm wondering if that would effect the fillers in anyway?
Answer: NO they won't | Facial Plastic Surgery Rhinoplasty Nosejob Expert | Liquid Rhino Nasal | Injectables Cheeks | Beverly Hills LA Hello and thank you for your question. Short answer- filler does not affect future rhinoplasty, and also does not need to be dissolved prior to surgery. During the surgery, I could simply remove any nasal filler I see (if present). Rhinoplasty truly a surgery of millimeters- and whether you're looking for a minor adjustment or a major transformation, it requires exceptional surgical skill to achieve natural-looking results! Because your nose is the DEFINING feature of your face- I would only recommend seeing a surgeon who specializes in rhinoplasty procedures, and who has significant training and experience performing these surgeries. I actually trained under one of the world leading rhinoplasty experts (who performs 1,000+ nosejobs annually). If you haven't already undergone rhinoplasty, I recommend for you to setup a formal consultation with me (or another plastic surgeon who is extremely comfortable with rhinoplasties) to thoroughly discuss your surgical goals, undergo a formal examination, evaluate your options, and develop a personalized plan just for you. I hope this helps! Dr. Donald Groves Aesthetic Plastic Surgeon

Answer: Filler and Rhinoplasty In general, cheek and under eye filler and rhinoplasty are separate procedures that target different areas of the face. However, any facial filler may potentially impact the overall aesthetic balance. In rare cases, under eye fillers can have prolonged swelling so I would not recommend getting them within 3 months of a rhinoplasty. If you are considering both procedures, it's crucial to discuss your plans with your rhinoplasty surgeon. They can help you make informed decisions based on your individual anatomy and goals and provide guidance on the timing of the procedures. I hope this helps! - Dr. Costeloe Anya Costeloe, DOFacial Plastic SurgeryNational Harbor, MD
