Will one unit of Dysport (on each side) for gummy smile last long?

I'm sorry you are unhappy with your Dysport results. The treatment is in full effect after two weeks and then will begin to fade gradually over approximately three to four months. It may be a bit quicker for you since a low dose was administered.

I agree with the answers above. In my experience, Dysport typically lasts 2-6 months, depending on the person, injector, and amount injected. Because of the tiny amount injected at this appointment, I would anticipate this would wear off within 2-4 months. Good luck! Sarah RN BSN

I am surprised 1 unit on each side had any effect at all. I would suspect the duration would not be the full 3-4 months.

How long Dysport lasts will vary from person to person. On average the duration is 3-4 months. However since it was only 1 unit on each side most likely the affect will begin to resolve closer to 2-3 months and in some people 1-2 months.   

Thanks for your question. For most people dysport will last 3-4 months. Although 1 unit is a very small amount and the duration is dose dependent to a certain extent no one can predict the length of time it will last in an individual person. In general I see patients that under dose the botulinum toxin start wearing off around 2 months so hopefully it will wear of a little quicker for you. Good luck.

This is off label and will last for 3-4 weeks.  Massage often and cross your fingers.  Off-Label administration of any product is a liability.
