Inconsistent results on galleries - how to feel confident with a provider? (Photo)

Hello! I want to start off by saying I have upmost respect for plastic surgeons. Also, I understand there are natural limitations. As I’m looking through galleries to narrow down who I’d like to set up consults with, I see some stunning results as well as things that would disappoint me. I think my plan is to set up consults with surgeons that have the most consistent results. But even the galleries that have lots of Impressive results, also have a fair share of things that make me nervous. Also, I found a surgeon that I really like his abdominoplasties , but another that beats his augmentation w lifts. So I find myself asking if boobs or tummy are more important to me. Does anyone have words of wisdom regarding this? One specific question—even the surgeon that i love his tummies, has belly buttons once in a while That have the circle from the sutures. Is there a certain population of pts that are more at risk of having this? Or is it the luck of the draw? Again, you guys rock! Just naturally a little nervous.

Selecting your surgeon is a very important step and one you obviously, and wisely, take seriously.  First you want to ensure you are selecting a board certified plastic surgeon.  You can find a listing of those near you using the ASPS website.  If you are unsure who you think is best based on galleries you may want to also consider experience, credentials and testimonials.  Once you pick a few surgeons with whom to have consultations be sure to have questions ready for your meeting.  Go with your gut.  It rarely will steer you wrong.

You need a breast lift and a tummy tuck. I always recommend doing the breasts first as the breast lift will pull up the upper abdomen and help make the tummy tuck easier to perform. The breast lift technique I recommend is The Bellesoma Method. This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained. At the same time, a tummy tuck can be done. If you are not planning future pregnancies, I recommend abdominoplasty with mesh reinforcement. The mesh creates a more hourglass figure by compressing the abdominal wall resulting in early satiety and helps maintain a reduced weight.
