Is this crown a bad job? (photos)

It looks like the dentist had to do a lot of "grinding" on that crown to make it fit your bite.  Also the side closest to the tooth in front of it on the cheek side does appear to have an open seal.  I would advise you to call and speak to your dentist about correcting this, I would have to assume that he/she would be glad to correct these issues. good luck

I would agree that  the crown does not look very good and it may also be quite thin in spots as a lot of grinding was done.It should be redone, but the dentist should reevaluate the space available to do a crown. The tooth in front of the crown shows a lot of erosion on the biting surface. The entire bite may need to be opened up some before redoing the crown. For now,this can be done with a composite filling material to replace the enamel that is gone on any teeth that need it. That would allow for more room for the gold crown so there would be more retention/grab for it and would be easier to get a better bite.Eventually, the other teeth would probably need crowns also, but they could then be built to the more open ,improved bite.

I have to say I agree that is not a very good looking crown.  If you have concerns I would suggest you talk to the dentist and let them know of what you are not happy.  I am sure they will help you correct things.  Good luck!
