Am I a good candidate for RF microneedling such as Fractora or Vivace -- or is surgery best best. Looking to tighten and lift neck and area under chin. What are the main differences between Fractora, Morpheus, and Vivace?
Answer: Neck options with skin laxity and platysmal banding Thank you for the question and your photos. It looks like you have some skin excess along the jawline and under the chin. Alone, this could be treated with RF in a subcutaeous manner (Thermi) or via microneedling (Profound, Genius, etc.). The presence of platysmal bands, even though they are small, makes surgery a better option. Energy-based treatments cannot change the platysma bands -- that requires an incision under the chin and surgical manipulation of the muscle edges (platysmaplasty). Best of luck moving forward!

Answer: Platysma bands Thank you for your question. I believe that micro-needling with radiofrecuency is good but not treat the platysma bands that you have and seems that is your main complain. Be carful with the investment and return of the result.

Answer: Radiofrequency tightening versus neck lift for excess neck skin Based upon the photographs you submitted, you may be a more appropriate candidate for a neck lift or at least a partial necklift with radio frequency tightening. Radiofrequency alone will unlikely restore the are under your submittal region where you have loose bands. You could either do a traditional neck lift or a less invasive version with radiofrequency done at the same time. I would seek consultation with a facial plastic surgeon in your area.

Answer: Neck muscle banding best treated with office surgical necklift A formal in-office evaluation and consultation are necessary to provide medical advice, but based on your photos alone, it appears that you have neck platysmal banding, which is best treated with a neckllift corset procedure, typically performed under local anesthesia in office in my practice. We typically see that radiofrequency tightening or microneedling cannot tighten the muscle bands and can actually cause fibrosis under the skin that can make a necklift surgery more difficult in the future.

Answer: Mini Facelift & Mini neck lift -- FaceTite RF for internal skin tightening + Neck Liposuction for definition/contouring FaceTite can internally tighten the skin in the lower face and neck. After all the skin has been heated and contracted, we shape the neck with liposuction to give definition and remove stubborn pockets of fat. In one quick treatment, we can tighten skin, remove fat, and contour the lower face, jawline, and jowls with only a weekend of downtime. Keep in mind that combination approaches will give you a more significant improvement as opposed to a single procedure. I recommend getting a consultation with a board-certified cosmetic dermatologist and facial sculpting expert. Best, Dr. Emer
