Had cheek fillers and contacted lots of clinics who stated this is overpriced and 0.5 ML isn't enough. Where do I stand? (photo)

Your doctor put in one syringe of filler divided between the 2 cheeks.  This is often a good way to start, as you can always add more as needed.  If someone wants more significant correction one syringe can be used on each side.  But if you feel you are overcorrected, you have to dissolve it al out and start over.  So it is not a bad idea to start with one syringe and see how you like it.The price you paid for one tube is less than you will pay in the U.S.

I suggest following up with him directly to discuss your expectations and your disappointment with the outcome. Every patient has unique aesthetic goals, and it's the role of the physician to determine the best filler, the right amount of filler, and the best location to obtain those goals.In our practice, we improve volume and contour the cheeks with well-placed fillers (Voluma, Radiesse, Bellafill) and Sculptra. I think your doctor did the prudent thing by starting slow. Cheeks often take multiple vials if filler to have a more noticeable effect. You can always have more filler put in.

Thank you for sharing your question and photographs and I am sorry that your results were not what you expected.  I agree that for most patients a half syringe per cheek is insufficient to leave a noticeable change but pricing is very reasonable, if not inexpensive, compared to US pricing.  I would recommend seeking additional filler placement to achieve an improved result.  Hope this helps.

The amount of filler injected is too conservative to notice much of a difference.  More product will give you a more noticeable result.  As far as pricing, each practice determines the pricing for treatment.  I encourage you to discuss your concerns with your doctor as you say you've had a good relationship in the past.  Hopefully you will be able to come to an acceptable agreement.

Hello , you didn't say what product was used, Voluma is quite expensive and the price for the single syringe seems in range, maybe low for NYC. The 3 fillers I use for cheek aug are Restylane Lyft, Voluma and radiesse They give the lift and firmness required. Since you say .5cc Im think either left or voluma  A half a syringe per side will not make astounding changes so likely a second string will give you closer to the results you desire. I normally use 1 syringe per side as a start and add more a week or two later if the patient desires.

Do not be discouraged. .5 per cheek is very little product to see a difference You were probably under injected in order to see how you respond. Fillers really are based off of the experience of the injector, so the pricing reflects off of that solely. I would not say you were ripped off, you just need more treatment. Most patients are very happy with 2 syringes per side. 

The good news is the product is there and when you have more treatment it will build off what you already have placed in the area. Fillers are a wonderful thing, you just need to have the right amount for your face. 

Hi and thank you for reaching out for an opinion regarding your cheek filler results. I am sorry that you are disappointed. From what I can see in your photos, there is a subtle and beautiful improvement in the contour of your cheeks. Because filler results are related to the amount or volume used, a 0.5ml injection will produce a less dramatic change than if you had received the whole 1ml on each side. That said, most injectors charge you for the number of syringes, and getting 1ml per side would have doubled your cost, plus or minus. 
A syringe of cheek filler in our area costs considerably more than you paid for yours, so I would say, enjoy the subtle yet perfect improvement you received, or go back for a little more at an additional charge. Best wishes. 

Hi,I am sorry to hear of your disappointment.  Your pictures actually demonstrate a subtle improvement to your medial cheek area.  The photos are best reviewed with your doctor.   Some women are looking for a  profound change.  It is common to inject a full CC in each cheek to achieve a more noticeable difference.  You were charged 350 Sterling pounds.  This is the equivalent of 462 US Dollars at the current exchange rate.
