Eliminink Tattoo Removal - Alexandria, LA
UPDATED FROM slatkins
Progress
After my first treatment healed and there was so much fading I was really optimistic that the tattoo would disappear pretty quickly. But since my second treatment has healed I don't feel like it looks much more faded than it did after the first one. It is still fading though, so I'm going to stick it out. Thankfully there doesn't seem to be any scarring either since "unnecessary scarring" can apparently disqualify you from joining the army the same as a visible tattoo will.
UPDATED FROM slatkins
After second session
You're supposed to leave the dressing over the tattoo for 48 hours after having the procedure done, but I got tired of not being able to move my neck properly because of the tape and took it off after only 40. Hoping 8 hours doesn't make too big if a difference. It's much gooier looking than I expected, but not in a worrisome way. After doing more research I've learned there is a product called DermRenu that is supposed to be used with Eliminink after the scabbing has fallen off to help prevent scarring. It was never mentioned to me during my proceedure. After the first treatment scabbing fell off I didn't feel or see any scarring and Ms. Karen is giving me microderm abrasions every other treatment to help prevent scarring, so I'm hoping that will help take the place of the DermRenu.

Getting PMU removal on my eyebrows. I believe my practitioner will use a solution similar to yours. Worried I will look crazy for a week or after and the pain of the removal. How was your pain ?

Pain wasn't bad at all. No worse than getting the tattoo the first time around. Also, the person who did mine used a lidocaine based numbing solution which seemed to help a lot, so maybe that's something you can request if you're worried about pain?
Also, and I probably should've made a follow up post about this, I've stopped going for my eliminink treatments because they didn't work. My tattoo is now only slightly faded and kind of bluish, looking like it was done with pen ink at someone's house rather than professionally in a studio, but I saw nothing to make me believe at the end of more sessions my tattoo would be "removed"

Getting a tattoo removed to join the military....
Getting a tattoo removed to join the military. Found a med spa near me that advertised tattoo removal and called for a consultation. I'd never heard of eliminink at this point, and assumed I was signing up for laser removal. After doing some research I decided to give it a shot. One treatment in so far.

Wow that's a great fading. How old is that tattoo?

About 8 years. I didn't have a super recent picture of it to post because I didn't think to take one before I started the removal process, but there really wasn't much fading before I had my treatment.
