Feeling great, looking great. I'm so happy with my results and so glad I did this for me. So many people are so quick to say "oh you don't need that surgery", or just work out, you'll lose that stomach". But there is no way on earth I could have gotten these results without surgery.
So to anybody contempating whether or not to do it...just do it!

It's a long process to recover. I still have days when I don't feel "normal". But overall, I like this flat stomach much more than that flabby hanging skin I had!!

Looking good, I wish I would've came across your story a few days ago. I schedule my consultation with Dr. Shifrin and I'm seeing several comments on the same issues I pray everything goes good I really been waiting for my special day to come

Dr. Shifrin has a very busy practice. While he wasn't my final choice, I take nothing away from him as a surgeon. I do feel that if you charge $100 for a consult, you as the surgeon should do the consult. If you can, schedule consults with several doctors. See who you mesh with the best!! Good luck with your decision!!

6 weeks post op

I made 6 weeks post op 3 days ago! I'm doing so much better, although I still don't feel back to normal yet. My back is still numb and a bit tender to the touch. I'm back working out, nothing too strenuous and nothing ab/core related though.
I'm getting so many compliments and people asking me what I'm doing LOL. All my clothes are too big, so I've started buying a smaller size. I'm down 10 pounds since surgery. I still wear compression garments during the day and my binder at night. I feel uncomfortable without them.
I go back for a follow up Nov 3rd.

I did the Ketogenic diet. You can google it, but it's based on the premise that fat doesn't make you fat, carbs make you fat. So you eliminate carbs and only eat high fat and moderate protein foods. It really does work, especially if you combine it with exercise.
