I am 45 years old and was thinking what's the point. I'm too old for this, right? Here's the point...I'm not also getting any younger and refuse to live the rest of my life with what childbearing has done to my body. I deserve to be happy and do not deserve to hide in my closet to get dressed or apologize for how I look.
I've been thinking about this for a while, and finally decided to take back the confidence I once had in my 20's and 30's. I was scared to even think of a tummy tuck because of what it involved and I was terrified of the recovery, time off from work, and the scaring. I almost chickened out, but honestly it was the confidence I had in Dr. Najera and his staff that turned it around for me. I felt they were so honest about everything involved and really cared about my decision process. They didn't push or ever make me feel rushed into anything. Dr. Najera listened to every concern and answered all my questions before and after the procedure.
I'm not new to plastic surgery. I've had rhinoplasty in the past and a breast lift in my 20's. I know what it's like to go to a doctor and treated like a number that spits out money. Dr. Najera always made me feel special and remembered me as a person not a chart. His friendly staff is so kind and ready to help in any way.
I'm a few months past my surgery now and blown away by the results. I never thought I could look like this again....or feel this good. It was worth it and really not as bad as I'd anticipated. I stayed the night at the hospital (which I highly recommend) and opted for the Exparel injection (another must have). After a few days down, I really was up and moving around. I even went black Friday shopping for a little while! I have confidence back that I've not felt in a decade. I look forward to getting dressed in the morning and shopping for smaller clothes.
I recommend Dr. Najera and his staff to anyone who will listen. It really is the best decision I've ever made.
*Sorry there are no images, but I deleted my before pictures. I didn't want to see that body again.
