Tray 9

Wow! My top teeth have widened. My smile is a lot wider and even looking now. My top teeth are done at 9 trays and bottom teeth need 4 more. Was told to change trays every 2 weeks now. It's been a smooth ride with invisalign. Bottom teeth had IPR twice and initially gave me a gap, but that has since closed niceley Anxious to see the final result! Some pain here and there when changing to new ones. I had braces before and I would say this pain is a lot worse!

Second week & Second trays in. No noticeable change yet

I feel the pressure in all my teeth now. The first week was a breeze no pain, but now... ooof! I felt it immediately all day and the next. I have been eating softer foods since my teeth are quiet sensitive now. Will be changing my trays once a week for now. I have an appointment with my orthodontist at 4 weeks and he will see if everything is going as planned. So far so good. The attachments don't bother me now as they blend in very well with my natural teeth. 2 trays down- 12 more to go + refinements

Invisalign Journey Started Aug 2020

Just started my invisalign journey. Very excited and slightly nervous after learning about IPR (teeth shaving). I don't think my teeth are terrible, but they could use an adjustment. A little background.. had braces 10+ years ago as a teen and these past couple years my bottom teeth have started to crowd and my two top lateral incisors have gone forward a bit. Those are the concerns I want to correct. And just like every other young kid, I did NOT wear my retainers which I regret terribly and feel for my parents who paid the costs! Above is a before photo right before my first appointment where the attachments were placed. I will be posting weekly photos of my progress.

I didn't know they had to do that. I thought it was only the aligners? How long do you have to wear the things on your teeth?

The teeth shaving? They do this to make room for your teeth to move and only on some teeth (less than 1mm) I have 14 trays and my orthodontist said with some refinements which adds a couple more aligners about 6 months
