Before I start, let me just say I paid full price for this laser and bought it at the recommendation of an aesthetician friend after doing comparisons and reading lots of online reviews. I’m writing this review of my own accord because I’m blown away by the results and want to help others in rhino recovery.
So I bought this laser in preparation for my rhinoplasty that happened a couple weeks ago. I went to a well known and incredibly skilled surgeon, but I tend to bruise very badly (I’m mentioning all of this to point out that it’s me and not his technique that caused the bruising) and I wanted to be prepared. My friend who’s an aesthetician and has seen firsthand how badly I bruise from other treatments told me I would benefit from using a red LED light, so after reading through online reviews, I chose the LightStim for Pain since it seemed like the best option for the price. I paid $279 all-in with tax.

After my surgery I had a gnarly black eye on one side that looked like I had been punched in the face (but oddly enough, nothing on the other side). I took arnica before surgery/during recovery per my surgeon’s instructions. I also used this laser on my black eye for an hour or two a day. According to the manufacturer’s site you can basically use it for as long as you want each day. It cleared up my bruising in 8-9 days, which might sound like a lot to those of you who are lucky and don’t bruise badly, but as for me, I was expecting to be black and blue for at least a month, so it’s nothing short of a miracle! I could literally see the difference in the severity of the bruise before and after using this for half hour intervals. Also, fwiw, my bruises didn’t have any intermediate green/yellow stage. They went from an aggressive eggplant color to completely gone. My husband is suspicious of these types of devices and thinks they are scams, and even he took his words back and was super impressed by its performance.

I still have a very obvious bruise on my arm from the IV. I’ve been concentrating on my face with the laser and haven’t used it on my arm at all. I know the arm and face are different body parts with different levels of blood flow, etc, but I’m just noting the contrast there.

I don’t know what the long term effects, if any, of red LED light therapy are. I am not a doctor and have no medical/scientific credentials whatsoever. I’m planning to discontinue using it now that my bruising is gone, so I’m not too concerned.

Anyway, just a PSA for those of you who tend to be bruisers, this laser could be a game changer! Worth every penny imo.

In this review it says she has blown away by the results and would recommend it, but the status on the review is “not sure”. Does this need to be corrected?
