No sugarcoating, this is my experience:
I had surgery on Oct 8th, 2021, I actually found Dr Ciardullo through tiktok because a girl posted about her experience and it went viral. I’m 100% Ecuadorian and I had a wide nose with a slight hump, and droopy tip. (Thick skin) Ever since I was a little girl I was self-conscious about my nose especially my side profile and how droopy the tip was when I smiled. I never thought I would actually do it but it made me sooooo unhappy I knew this was something I genuinely wanted. During my consultation Dr. Ciardullo made me very comfortable and he was reassuring, he didn't want me to tell him what I didn't like instead he immediately pointed out my biggest insecurities lol (which I thought was great that he saw what I saw when I looked in the mirror because for the most part whenever I complained about my nose to people around me they would say “omg you’re crazy there’s nothing wrong with your nose”.) A month later I booked my surgery. I loved his staff and his bedside manners. I don't remember the nurse's name but I was so scared I was shivering so she put a warm blanket around me and hugged me while she walked me to the OR (she was so caring idk why this was something that stuck with me) an hour later I woke up with a new nose. Recovery wasn't painful it was more or so uncomfortable. I had dry lips and since you can’t breathe through your nose, your mouth and throat are extremely dry. On Oct 15th Dr Ciardullo removed the cast. When I saw myself I felt like a completely different person but the people that saw me said it looked super natural and was fitting to my face. I LOVE my side profile but I couldn’t come to terms with my front view which is understandable, I had the same nose for 24 years! I remember reading Post-op instructions and it says it is normal to feel different afterwards. So I knew this whole experience was a process. Real results don’t come in until 6 months to a year. So I’ve been patient. I am now 3 months post-op and I love my new nose. I know that with each month it will be more and more natural. I feel so pretty!! My side profile couldn’t be more perfect. The tip of my nose is not totally centered but it’s not something that bothers me like my side profile did & I still have some incisions on the sides of my nose that have been taking a bit long to close… maybe within the 6 month range. I also know that there’s no such thing as a perfectly symmetrical nose. I can honestly say I wouldn’t have done it any other way, I love my new nose. I posted some reference pictures. (before & after pics)
