Unprofessional, Arrogant and Dismissive. Know Your Worth.

Emily. Willis
I am so thankful the operation did not go ahead despite being gowned, tested and almost ready to go. His demeanor immediately made both myself and my mum uneasy as he stormed into the room, barley appointing us any eye contact and urged that I head through to theatre in 2 minutes after my operation was moved forward by 3 hours upon my early 7 o'clock arrival. This however wasn't the most concerning part, I had emailed and rang about a concern I had and a request that my tip would not be reduced out of worry that it may be too short for my face. After receiving a carefully worded email back from his secretary that read "He is aware and will see you at the hospital before surgery" I expected him to raise the issue and for us to discuss it as any decent doctor should do, however when I politely asked if I may ask a question he shut me down immediately and began silencing me with rude urges to skip to the point before I could express that I had talked to his secretary prior about my concern. At first insisting that two consultations should be enough and that I "had time between them to talk" despite having tried to "talk" a week after my last consultation about my tip with my only medium for contact, his secretary. If I had time I could write a book of all the horrible, unprofessional things he said to me but I wouldn't know where to start. He hated that I would question something he advised and in the end, after a series of inappropriate and rude gesticulations about the sheer size of my beak and patronising me and pressuring me to do what he asked, he decided in a childlike huff that he would cancel the operation. Even going as far as to giving me an ultimatum that if I didn't let him reduce the tip length than he wouldn't operate at all. Safe to say he was extremely surprised and irritated that I didn't buckle to that abhorrent abuse of power and pressure of that situation. I pray that whoever needs to hear this is well and knows that you have the right to refuse any element of a procedure and the right to ask questions no matter what. If the surgeon refuses to listen to you than do not listen to them. Also I added a photo so you lovely people can judge for yourselves as to whether you think my nose is really as BIG as he kept expressing.

I too experienced a very different side to Mr Dunkin after he failed to produce a satisfactory outcome after my first surgery, second surgery and he still failed to do so, but his comments and attitude towards me was very different to the first consultation, completely changed after he'd been paid, he actually agreed I needed a revision (I didn't push for it) his fault it wasn't done correctly first time and again with the second, be careful and make sure to see someone that has more experience and more good reviews because when you think the number of nose jobs he must have done surely he would have more good reviews, for the small number of reviews on here he seems to have negative and unsatisfactory ones and that percentage isn't good, so happy for you that you didn't go through his planned surgery like I did and suffered twice and will continue to suffer from the terrible work for the rest of my life

I am so sorry you were treated that way! I had a very similar situation happen to me ( with a different doctor) but I remember my mum saying to me, if the surgeon can act so horrible and cruel now , god knows what he would be like if there was some sort of complication! You definitely got a lucky escape! Your stunning btw!!
