1.5 Years post op Scar revision Update

WORTH IT
I'm now 1.5 years post operation (Dimple piercing scar revision)
You can't really tell that I ever had the piercings, there is still a bit of unevenness.
I started using Retin A about 6 months ago (at 1 year post op), I think it's improved the overall appearance of my skin, not necessarily just the scars. I think staying out of the sun, as well as scar gel used in combination with silicone strips helped the most to achieve my results. I used the scar gel and silicone strips for about 8 months, after my stitches were removed.

I'm still very happy with my results, Dr. Kristina Zakhary and her team did a great job!

I posted better pictures on reddit where the picture file size limit is larger, search for "dimple scar revision" on reddit and you should be able to find my post.

I also had 3 IPL treatments with Dr. Zakhary's team after the stitches were removed. I used Stratamed, Mederma Advanced scar gel and put silicone strips over top of the gel pretty much 24/7. I avoided sun exposure and always wear sunscreen when going outdoors.

Dr. Zakhary is a fantastic surgeon and did an excellent job of explaining the procedure beforehand. The numbing injections were quite painful. The surgery was quick, the stitching took a while. When the stitches came out I was instructed to massage the scars often with scar gel, using quite a bit of pressure. My most recent pictures are 6 months post op and the scar tissue is quite pale and there is no hardness or bumps. The skin is still a little uneven but it should get better with more time.

I'm very pleased with my results and I can't wait to see what it looks like 1 year post op!

Also did the depth of the line disappear and eventually fill in?

There is still a bit of an indent from the scars, one side is more indented than the other. I plan to post some updated photos in the next few weeks.
