Volbella in Lips
Lip filler experience. I’d recommend Volbella because it’s thinner than Juvederm.
This is my 2nd time getting lip filler. I’d recommend Volbella because it’s thinner than Juvederm. The numbing cream seems silly but it’s necessary! Even with numbing, this procedure HURTS!! I get Botox all the time and this is MUCH worse. That being said, it’s doable. Just make sure they numb the entire area first. Immediately after, apply ice. Try not to touch your lips too much. I know it’s hard, but it’ll make them swell even more. The next morning was the worst!! So swollen that I was too embarrassed to go to the store. Always allow yourself at least 3-4 days after this procedure before you have to go anywhere important. 48 hours later and the swelling has gone down quite a bit. They are still swollen, but not cartoonishly so. Now I have a new problem... trying to cover bruises with foundation. It’s not easy. My last cycle of lip fillers lasted an entire year.. so at least I don’t have to do this all the time. It makes a big difference in the balance of my face and is definitely worth the time, money, and pain. Do your research!! Only go to reputable places. Also, it cost me $700.. so be prepared. If you can’t afford lip fillers, I recommend getting a lip flip (Botox around the lips to help them appear fuller). I get that done pretty regularly.
