I haven't had any surgery besides this. I iced religiously and waited 2 weeks to work out. It appeared 2 days after the workout. I'm wondering if this is a rare side effect and what procedures to get rid of it
Answer: Cording of the armpit after Miradry Cording can occur in the axilla after liposuction or treatment with any energy based device including Miradry. It is caused by modest scar tissue that generally responds well to stretching and movement. There are rare cases where a patient might also benefit from injectable treatment with low dose steroid and 5FU. Start with movement and contact your physician for careful follow-up. Best wishes.

Answer: Cording after MiraDry Thank you for your question, cording is unusual but not impossible. After creating trauma in that area it can happen. I recommend you visit your healthcare provider to discuss your options. The vast majority of our Newport Beach miraDry® patients experience minimal downtime and return to their regular activities immediately following treatment. There can be swelling, minor bruising, and tenderness of the underarms, which should subside within a couple of weeks. We recommend avoiding strenuous activity requiring use of the arms until symptoms have resolved. Some patients have short-term altered sensation of the underarm skin or upper arms. This will gradually disappear. If any of these side effects occur, we recommend avoiding strenuous activities requiring use of your arms until they have subsided. In addition to getting rid of sweat and odor, miraDry® can also reduce hair growth under the arm.
