It's been 8 weeks since rhinoplasty and my nose now looks more swollen than in the first 2-3 weeks, especially on the right side of the middle of the bridge and the left side of the tip, which makes it look crooked. Is this just swelling or is it something more concerning?
Answer: Post rhinoplasty swelling In order to fully reassure yourself, you probably need to consult with your surgeon but, in my experience, it is not unusual for people to have differing amounts of swelling on each side of the nose as they recover. This can give the nose an asymmetric or deviated appearance and your surgeon should be able to reassure you that things will settle down if they are left alone. I would suggest you make an appointment to see your surgeon and try not to worry too much in the meantime. Best of luck

The nasal tip can remain swollen for many months after rhinoplasty in the final result of a tip rhinoplasty is usually not seen until one year after surgery. I recommend that she see her rhinoplasty surgeon and ask if you may begin massaging his on the elevated portion of the bridge on the right side. Your early in recovery and in some cases this can help. I would not think about a revision until you are almost a year postop.

Give it at least 3 months before intervening. For now if your surgeon feels that right side is more swollen in the middle third of the nose then a steroid injection might help. Mild crookedness is usually not noticeable. If it gets worst over the next few months then you will need some kind of revision. RegardsDr. Janjua

I would give it at least 6 months and then re-evealute your opinion of the result. If at that time- you are still concerned, and you are able to elicit the specific areas, then you can approach your Surgeon for revision . At that time you may also consider a second opinion. I would like to see your length shorter, your tip- smaller and refined, and your profile- silty more feminine.
