I would like to have non-surgical rhinoplasty done with an overseas doctor, but unfortunately, due to my timetable, only have a very brief timeframe before I fly home. I have had the procedure done locally before (with no issues) but would like to try a new doctor in the U.S. Can I have the procedure done, and fly home on the same day? Or will the cabin pressure cause the filler to move and mis-shape my nose? What is the minimum time I need to wait before flying? Thank you.
Answer: Travel after Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty There is no risk of flying home immediately after your procedure. Changes in cabin pressure will not impact the result of your procedure in any significant way. However, I would strongly suggest that you stay in the country at least one or two days. That way you can be treated for any rare complication, the most significant of which is vascular occlusion. Vascular occlusion is a true medical emergency and I would hate for you to have any worry or concern that couldn't be immediately addressed because you were captive on a long overseas flight. I hope this helps. Good luck.

Answer: Flying after Nonsurgical Nose Job Hi and thank you for your question! There is no flight restriction following filler treatments including nonsurgical nose job. This being said, it is always advisable to plan filler treatments to allow time for a possible follow up visit 2 weeks following any filler treatments. I hope it helps and good luck!

Answer: Wait at least five days! Hi, Great question, I am happy to help! There is no limitation for flying after a non surgical rhinoplasty or liquid nose job. However, whenever you do dermal fillers in the skin you should plan to be around your physician in case he/she needs to do a touch up or if there is any need for a quick follow up. So my rule of thumb is you should not want to leave for about five days after your procedure, mainly to have access to your physician. Hope this helps!

Answer: Fillers pre and post Liquid Nose Job Hi JenCha91. Remember to plan your treatment to allow for several days of potentially significant swelling and/or bruising. Fillers set in pretty fast but you might encounter swelling which is normal but which you might want to discuss with your doctor.Give yourself two weeks and schedule a follow-up treatment before flying home.Do remember to stay off blood thinners etc a week before your treatment (unless under medical advice) and inform your doctor of any history of shingles, canker, shingles or cold sores. All the best,Justin Harper, M.D.
