I am 25 years old, I have forehead wrinkles. My question is what treatment should I do? (Photos)

Forehead wrinkles are caused by mechanical injury to the skin due to overuse of the brow raising  (frontalis) muscle. Botox is an ideal treatment for this area because is smooths the brow and prevents further injury to the skin by relaxing the muscle. Over time, the body repairs the injured skin and the lines further diminish.
The downside of Botox is its longevity. Botox has to be injected every 3-4 months to maintain its effectiveness. You could consider an alternative treatment such as a superficial dermal filler, however, these too are temporary in nature (6-12 months) and pose more significant risks such as small irregularities, uneven appearance, and skin injury from vascular occlusion. In very rare cases, filler injected into the forehead has resulted in injury to the eye through collateral circulation. Bio-stimulatory dermal fillers such as Ellanse containing PolyCaproLactone (PCL) can last longer, but  but are not yet FDA approved or available in the United States. 
You could consider treatment with a heat-based energy device such as  micro-needle RF or a fractionalCO2 laser. These devices create a controlled injury that results in new collagen, elastin and thicker skin. However, you will continue to move and crease your forehead over time, and the wrinkles are likely to recur. This leads me back to Botox as my first choice. Best wishes.

Botox is the best way to prevent forehead wrinkles from worsening. It stops muscles from causing wrinkles and will keep your skin looking wonderful for years to come, provided you get touch-ups every three to four months. Your doctor can recommend great skin care products. I’d also advise regular chemical peels. I hope this helps.

Thank you for your question! Botox or Dysport are excellent injectable treatments I use in my NYC practice in order to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines cause by muscle movement. Botox works by decreasing the muscle movement in the treated area, which will then smooth out the wrinkles you are experiencing. For my younger patients, Botox is an excellent preventative treatment to stop the static lines from becoming etched into the face. Results last 3-4 months. Hyaluronic acid based fillers can also be an option, and these results can last up to 12 months. For optimal results it is important to consult with a board certified dermatologist. Botox, Dysport or Xeomin are  neuro modulators that decrease muscle movement by blocking the release of a chemical Acetylcholine from the nerve endings thereby decreasing dynamic wrinkles that is wrinkles that are caused by muscle movement. All these drugs work great on the upper face and last 3-4 months. One has to be careful though in some cases they can cause upper eyelid droop which is temporary. In your case any of these above drugs given in small amounts every 3-4 months would be effective. Alternately you could have some collagen fillers put in what they are also temporary and can have side effects especially if the injection is inadvertently made into a blood vessel.
