After having 4 kids naturally I was uncomfortable with how my body looked. Nursing had depleted my breasts and my belly button still stuck out like I was 9 months pregnant. My husband and I agree that my body needed some attention. I needed a breast augmentation and surgery to push my belly button back in. After an intensive research process which also included 4 in-person consultations in Chicago and surrounding suburbs, I knew that Dr. Gutowski was the Dr. for me. My comfort level soared when I found out that our family friend in Tennessee (plastic surgeon) knew Dr. Gutowski from medical boards and said he was "one of the best." I have never had surgery before except to get my molars out when I was 22. I was worried about being put under and the recovery process post surgery. He gave me a clear understanding of what I should expect both pre and post operation and he literally has done thousands of these operations which again made my confidence in him soar. We tried on sizes of implants and he measured my body. He wanted to make sure that I didn't go too big for my body size (I am petite) and wanted it to look as natural as possible (we joked that I didn't want to look like Jessica Rabbit). I had a full B cup before and decided to go to a C cup size. Once I made the decision to proceed, I was able to get it done within a few weeks. The surgery center was professional and all the nurses and anesthesiologist made me feel at ease. I had my own room and Dr. Gutowski and his team were able to perform both my augmentation and belly button within an hour and a half. Both my husband and I had Dr. Gutowski's personal cell phone and we were directed to call him if we had any questions. He also personally called me the evening post-op to check in. I did need to call him the next day regarding wound care and he answered his phone immediately and answered all my questions. I am extremely pleased with my results! WOW! For someone that felt lousy about her body after 4 kids and nervous about surgery and the stigma around breast augmentation, I just could not be more pleased with my outcome. My recovery was quick. I needed 3 pain killers two days post-op and then was on Advil only. I was able to take care of all 4 kids including a 2 year old requiring lifting just days after surgery and was back to my normal workout routine 3 weeks later. I feel natural, and I can't put a price tag on how I feel with self confidence. There is no need to search further. Dr. Gutowski is a leader in the medical field and is known all over the country for his work. He is simply the best.
