Animation Deformity. Will removing my implants fix this? (Photo)

There are different ways of treating this problem. It's difficult to say definitively, but looking at your pictures, I can see that there is significant asymmetry of the breasts as well as as animation deformity. There is also ptosis of your breast. Having the implants removed could fix the animation deformity, but if you are still interested in having a breast augmentation, there are other technical solutions that could provide a good result.

Explantation will eliminate the animation deformity but your breasts will hang.  However, the muscle cannot be repaired since they have retracted and cannot be re-attached.  Another alternative to consider is explantation and a simultaneous lift using The Bellesoma Method.  The implants are removed, your breast tissue is reshaped creating upper pole fullness, elevated higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage.  Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation and the ability to breast feed are maintained, if not injured during your previous surgery.  Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Yes, removing your implants will eliminate this, but you must consider if it is worth not having implants. I recommend an in-office examination as well as a detailed discussion with a surgeon who you are comfortable with. Finally, make sure your surgeon is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS).

in most cases, placement of implants above the muscle should resolve animation deformity. But if you don't want them placed above the muscle, them removal of implants is another option. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.

Breast implant removal and re-insertion of the pec muscle will likely resolve the animation deformity. I'm sorry you are having issues with your implants.  Having the implants removed and the muscle addressed should improve your concerns.  I encourage you to visit with an experienced board certified plastic surgeon to discuss your options and help determine what is best for you.

Based on your photos it looks as though your muscle wasn’t released properly during your surgeries which is contributing to your animation. Fixing your pocket and muscle may be all you need to really improve the animation. Otherwise, removing the implants will make the animation deformity go away altogether. If you do still want implants I’d recommend seeing a plastic surgeon who does a lot of revision work as they will be able to give you the best idea about what’s possible. BestDr. Sieber 

The puckering that you have around the periareolar scars is due to scar tissue tethering your skin to the deeper soft tissues of your breasts and your muscles. Removal of your breast implants will most likely not fix your animation deformities. The only way to definitively eliminate the flex deformities is to place you implants above your muscles with a revision breast augmentation.
