Thanks for your question. As far as recovery is concerned, I generally tell my patients that they may return to work in 10-14 days after a Brazilian butt lift. My patients are instructed to minimize sitting for one month. If your job requires sitting, a BBL or boppy pillow can be used to take some of the weight off of the buttocks. Please always consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Take Care, Moises Salama MD, board certified plastic surgeon
Most BBL patients are ok to go back to work at 2 weeks post op. It will depend on the type of work , amount of liposuction and combined procedures. So it can vary.
Dear Castcl23,I instruct my patients not to sit for 2 solid weeks. We provide them a specialized pillow that our patients can sit on during that time. They can sleep on their stomachs or sides. Fat viability depends a lot of surgeon technique. The fat has to be placed back into the buttocks as soon as possible so that it has a greater chance of survival. It has to be placed carefully so that not too much fat is placed in only one area.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Hello dear!!Thanks for the question and provided information as well.I recommend my patients to allow 2-4 weeks for recovery, and to wait at least 7-10 days before going back to work, but each doctor has their own protocol. I also recommend not to sit for more than 30 mins. every two hours, for the first 2 weeks, and always with the help of a boppy pillow. Remember that each doctor has their own protocol, it is very important that you talk to him and follow his instructions.Hope this is helpful. Good luck :)
Dear Vivid194052, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Generally speaking, it is possible to get BBL if you have birth control implant. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will...
Thank you for your questions. I would recommend you discuss with your plastic surgeon and perhaps see your regular doctor for a pre-op clearance. This would make sure that everything is covered prior to proceeding with surgery. Good luck! Dallas Buchanan, MD VIVIFY plastic surgery Tampa, FL
I have had great success with BBLs for thinner women, but these surgeries are not easy. Maximal fat must be harvested without creating any contour deformities. If the waist was smaller at one time, the waist can likely be reduced with liposuction to those same measurements or smaller provided...
Dear Bodycontoure6161, I understand your concern. It is best that you consult your plastic surgeon regarding post operative care and management (i.e including massage techniques and timing) specific to your case. Your surgeon knows your condition well and has preferences on when and what to use...
Dear Anonymous pretty, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Generally speaking, fat transfer is a great option for correction of hip dips. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will...
This is a question for the plastic surgeon who performs your BBL as plastic surgeon preferences for types of compression garments and length of wear vary. As a American Board of Plastic Surgery Board Certified Plastic Surgeon I recommend that my patients wear an adjustable abdominal compression...
